I would say the 1.6 is quite underpowered compared to the rather punchy 2.2. However, it depends what you are planning to use it for, eg. long motorway drives or around town. It therefore would not be an issue to have the 1.6 for town use as it is sufficient to drive in urban areas without breaking too much of a sweat. No issues as far as I am aware to look out for. Not sure about the Garmin but the previous SatNav i know was dealer only but not too expensive (£200) and not sure about Apple CarPlay, sorry!

Worth having it checked out as it could be a loose bolt if previous work has been carried out on it in the suspension or transmission areas

Would take it to a garage to determine if it is a driveshaft, clutch, engine mounts or just about any other component that can be causing this. Let us know what you find out

Hi....welcome to the Forum Die-hard Honda fan then....welcome aboard!

Haven't tried this exact product but have used similar. Just need to apply a small quantity with a clean soft rag and use light circular motion to rub it into the wider part of the damaged area. Do this several times to build up the layers and then polish off....hopefully with no signs of the damage

Exactly the same effect it had upon me when I got a CR-V and I've had a lot of superb cars over the years but the CR-V is by far the best everyday car I have ever owned. Even the exact same thought....why didn't I get one 10 years ago and not mess around with all the others i have had in that time, and the only answer I can give myself is that wasn't ready for it (only 55 years old) and maybe I had to wait until a mature(ish) age to own one and not have to prove a point by driving around with a V8 or a sporty model - the car that is 🙂 Keep enjoying it and if you like, you can review it at www.drivn.co.uk

Glad you're chuffed with your purchase, they really are a superb car

Glad you've made the leap into the wonderful world of the Honda CR-V and are enjoying it. It is probably the best car I have ever owned but had to go through a lot of others to finally discover it. The Airbag light may be because it is switched off and you would need to press a button or put the key into a switch to reactivate it? Not sure what the microphone is apart from being able to voice control certain things within the car, but didn't know the Satnav is controlled by this.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune....maybe worth ensuring that when you replace the components you invest in a security device to stop anyone from stealing it in the future https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=catalytic+converter+security&_sacat=0 -
Catalytic converter stolen. Help getting right parts needed
Trevor replied to alansdad's topic in Honda General Discussions
Hi....welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Firstly, your car is a 1.3 litre, judging by the cc which if it is lower than 50 (e.g. 1349cc) then it is a 1.3 litre. The Lambda sensors are 4 wire at the front and 2 wire at the rear as the rear does not have to have a heater (e.g. the other two wires are there for that reason). Cheap sensors are okay but get a branded one as cheap as you can. Agree with your sentiment about punishment for the offenders, it's just not on for them to render your car undrivable and make money from it while you have to shell out huge amounts to get back on the road Let us know how it all goes Cheers . Hi Ian.....welcome to the Forum That's very unlucky as a general rule, Honda's are very reliable and don't normally suffer from too many maladies. It may just be a Friday/Monday car but hopefully once the dealer fixes all the faults it may be sorted for many years to come with no further issues. Let us know how you get on with it all

Excellent !!! Long may your Stream stay running and passing MOTs 🙂

If it will not physically fit and turn the ignition lock then it would more than likely require a replacement barrel. If you contact your local dealership they should be able to match one up to your original keys by special order or if not then you would have two keys which is not too much of an inconvenience really. It may be worth spraying some WD40 or similar into the lock and try the key again before committing to ordering parts

Below are some links I found on 4x4 Direct website which may shed some light on the fitting procedure Up to 2012 - Fitting Guide (PDF) https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0015/1502/8545/files/Honda_CR-V_2007-2012_Side_Step_Fitting_Instructions.pdf?17907606410955683975 2012 onwards - Fitting Guide (PDF) https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0015/1502/8545/files/Honda_CRV_2012-2017_After_Market_Side_Step_Fitting_Guide.pdf?12855092772702160784

Is the ISHIFT the same as the sequential box
Trevor replied to conkers's topic in Civic 2006 to 2011
I would have said that is the case -
Hi Jacques....welcome to the Forum Yes it is a bit quiet on here but I'm not entirely sure it is because they are so reliable, even though they do top the poles for most reliable car, year after year! So how's our CRV been overall....happy with it? cheers, Trevor

Hi....welcome to the Forum Here's an extract from Wikipedia which states the transmission being an electronically controlled semi-automatic Useful link for further information: https://h-tune.co.uk/club/threads/honda-i-shift-explained.16964/live?page=1 However, they do have history of problems and worth considering over a manual transmission -
Hi....welcome to the Forum I'm not too sure about some of the queries but reliability of Honda transmissions is not an issue, not heard of anything really going wrong with them if maintained correctly. You could not get autonomous breaking on a 2012 model but there may be the option for Adaptive Cruise control with distance settings which is similar in operation but may not give lane guidance or other features of an autonomous emergency breaking system. Headlamps, you should be able to get some vehicles that had the option of Xenons fitted but believe it was more of a personal specification when ordered from new. Let us know how you get on with finding the car you want

You can use jump leads.... positive on first and last off

Sounds like an ABS sensor has gone faulty

Hi Peter....welcome to the Forum It sounds more than a water pump bearing, more like an auxiliary belt tensioner. Easy to diagnose.....remove the aux belts and see if the noise disappears. Sometimes, dripping water onto the belts and round by the tensioner works, if the noise disappears then it is either a dry belt or a tensioner bearing. It would make a great car for someone who wants a classic Honda Cheers . Trevor
