  1. I will try and dig out an image for you but for reference the drain and fill bolt are located at the rear of the transmission above and below on the outer side of the differential. Basically, where the drive shaft CV joint connects to the gearbox you should spot them easily, loosen the top 17mm bolt first and with a 3/8 insert you can crack open the drain bolt. You will need approx 2L of fluid but get 3L just in case. If the transmission fluid hasn't been done before I would suggest a better fluid than the Honda MTF-3 p/n: 0826799902HE, The Castrol Transmax Manual Multivehicle 75W-90 fluid would be my choice with the higher miles.😏
  2. I have been working on Honda's for almost 20 years and your engine sounds perfectly fine, so I would say it has been looked after to a point. Also, a valve adjustment isn't as easy as it might look as you need to rotate the engine a few times on each valve to get the best average clearance within spec as it will change following any wear on the cam. 👉 Happy Motoring
  3. I am guessing you have located it by now 😏 for future reference and the benefit of others it is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side (pictured of the unit below), the battery is inside the sounder unit. Also, be aware if the car has lost battery charge recently the battery in the alarm sounder will need to charge for about 15-20 minutes, this can be annoying as it will still go off. So I would suggest taking the car for a drive rather than annoy your neighbours, hope that helps?
  4. The valve train and injector noise sounds perfectly normal to me, you would definitely hear a more audible noise if it required a valve adjustment. The Honda R20A should have clearances checked approximately every 30,000 but in most cases 100,000 miles is acceptable.👍

  7. Happy to help out when I can 👍
  8. Everybody always avoids Facebook in conversations these days, had some really funny looks when talking to people especially when I say you can find my business on Facebook, check out my reviews etc it's like you've literally spat in their face. However, without Facebook presence it is like committing commercial suicide in business, me personally I hate Facebook. Nevertheless, when you see all these car groups with so many members and they appear to thrive, I just don't get it. 🙃 I had a Facebook group for one of my car communities and it was getting the numbers, yet killing my main site... I would get new members from Facebook but not interaction or posts, but when forum members started moving to Facebook 😬 I ditched it and things started to even out and one thing I learned very quickly, its the quality of the members, not quantity.
  9. Hi there, if you are sure the alarm sounder backup battery is at fault 👉 it is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side (pictured of the unit below) the battery is inside the unit. Also, be aware if the car has lost battery charge recently the battery in the alarm sounder will need to charge for about 15-20 minutes, this can be annoying as it will still go off. So I would suggest taking the car for a drive rather than annoy your neighbours, hope that helps?
  10. Sorry to swing back on topic folks 🙃 social media has a lot to answer for regards forums, communities alike 😢 you can use it to direct traffic to the site, but it can backfire too.
  11. Hi Andy, are you still seeking headlights for your Shuttle, may I ask why you need replacements have you considered they might just need cleaning? FYI some shuttles had headlight protectors fitted from new and these can be removed revealing almost like new headlights?
  12. Hi Phil, assuming you haven't had this issue fixed yet, I would certainly say it's the fuel relay, in some rare cases it is the connection to the top of the fuel tank. I offer fuel pump relay repair service available to all coupe owners on my community. So I would like to extend that offer to this Honda community too, if that's permitted by admin 😉 so anybody that is suffering with an intermittent starting fault just PM me your details and I will send you a repaired one in exchange for your old relay, just for the cost of postage. 😉
  13. Hi there, I am new to the site, not new to Honda and I have been a Honda Car Specialist for almost 20 years now and run a couple of online communities 🤫 but in the best interest of this community, I will keep that info to myself. So with that said I will have look around to see if I can help some members with my knowledge and experience.🤞 Thanks for reading and I hope everybody has a great 2022. 👍
