  1. No worries Jimbo, hopefully we can get to the bottom of it. I've ordered what I think are the correct parts. 1 tensioner & 1 guide pulley. Combined cost was £70. I'll find out on Friday if they're the right ones 🤞 Honestly it was early when I spoke to the mechanic & I'd not had much coffee so it'll be pure fluke if I have the bits I need. I've not used a Honda main dealer before, but just looking at their service prices was enough to put me off which is why I'm using an independent specialist. Am I right in thinking you have the 2.4 petrol? Mine is the 2.2 diesel.
  2. Update: Yeah the noise is driving me mad too. Someone at the McDonald's drive-thru commented it sounded like something had fallen off. Thanks 🙄 Took mine to a local Honda specialist today. The mechanic had a listen & after stating "f*****g hell that sounds like a tractor", identified a couple of bearings he thinks the noise is coming from. It's booked in to have the work done on Friday morning. I'll let you know how I get on.
  3. Hey, Sorry to jump on your question, but I'd be interested to know about this too. I recently bought a 54 tourer with the same issue. I was made aware of it by the seller who said it was a common fault. I had no idea, but trusted him. Obviously would like to get it sorted before it creates any real problems. It's intermittent and from what I can tell doesn't effect the cars driving or performance.
  4. Hi all, I became a Honda owner in January this year when I bought a 54 plate Accord tourer to replace my stricken Zafira (RIP Zaffi). So far I've only experienced a few niggles that would effect any older car, but overall I'm really happy with it.
