Hi please help. 

Just bought the car mention in the title, the problem I have is when I press the open on the nav console, the screen lowers satisfyingly but when I press close nothing happens also my cd player won't work and if I offer a cd then the eject motor makes a noise but won't take or spit out any CDs! Cars great otherwise (so far)

Sorry, never come across this fault before, however it does seem like it has been damaged in the past and there may be some debris inside the unit.

It would be best to remove and strip down to see whats going on.

As Trevor says there maybe a CD stuck in there. There are loads of tips on the web and youtube about how to get stuck cd's out. Thin knife with electrical tape wrapped around it the wrong way for instance.
