David E Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Anyone had their cat stolen recently? I have so I tried this. Unbolt the bottom bolt on the nudge bars and lower them and drill new holes in the support brackets then bolt in new position. Thief can no longer get under vehicle. Then purchase a 120db PIR detector (cheap) and attach it anywhere underneath with magnetic strip so if thief jacks up car and goes underneath it will go off and scare them off. Cheaper than a new cat 1
Trevor Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Thanks for sharing this useful information. I think there more you can do to deter a thief the better and by putting as many hurdles in the way the more it will deter them.
Sooty180 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 How about a metal cage around the cat, insulate it from the exhaust itself and wire it up to a large capacitor that could be charged by the battery to deliver a shock to anyone touching it?
