Hello there, my 2007 crv had a dramatic decrease in power whilst driving home.

since recovering it to my mechanic the engine will start and the cut out after 1-2 seconds.

we have replaced filter, and replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still no good.

anyone here have any idea what the problem may be?

Hi....welcome to the Club

 

My first recommendation would be to scan the ECU and see what fault codes are stored in memory.

This would lead you to see whether it is fuel related, or electronic sensors, etc.

 

I would slightly undo the 17mm plug between the input and output on the fuel pump,then pump the little rugby ball above the filter,a small amount of fuel will

leak,retighten 17mm plug.Now the air is out the car should run.This is for diesel not petrol. Which one not given.
