My Accords alarm keeps sounding, I'm trying to find the independent battery so I can replace it, does anyone know where it can  ?

Is it the remote or car itself that is causing the problem? 

Hello, it is the car itself, we've been advised that there is an independent battery for the alarm system and being as the car is 12yrs old this may need changing, but to locate it is becoming very hard. 

I believe it should be built into the alarm siren under the bonnet?

Hi there, if you are sure the alarm sounder backup battery is at fault 👉 it is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side (pictured of the unit below) the battery is inside the unit. Also, be aware if the car has lost battery charge recently the battery in the alarm sounder will need to charge for about 15-20 minutes, this can be annoying as it will still go off. So I would suggest taking the car for a drive rather than annoy your neighbours, hope that helps?
