LES G Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Hi, Just purchased a Honda CR-V 2008 ES. I noticed on the test drive that the steering felt a little heavy and whilst not wandering off a straight line it seemed to want to wander slightly. I mentioned this to the seller and I suggested the tyres could be the wrong pressure. This was checked and there was one rear tyre that had been over=inflated. I also suggested it could need the tracking adjusted but the seller didn't have the alignment kit in his garage. The tyres have good tread and are 17 inch. I guess it could also be the state of the roads too and the fact that this is my first Honda CR-V and I'm not used to the tyres which seem big to me. The long drive home was uneventful but I will have the tracking checked out ASAP. Everything else seems to be great. Regards, Les
Trevor Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Hi Les.....welcome to the Club I had this on my CR-V and it was the rear toe that was out. The arms are adjustable by slackening off the locknuts and dialing in the correct setting. If you take it to Protyre as they have Hunter alignment equipment but the correction has to be made from the rear before the front settings. Let us know how you get on with it
