Rob190
Hi. My new (to me) CRV was damaged recently when someone tried to break into it. They pulled the plastic fairing on the tailgate (I think the official name is "Lower Tailgate Garnish Assembly") and broke some of the internal fittings. I've removed all the snap fittings and bolted it back on using just the 4 bolts at the corners. It looks to be in the right position but it's very difficult to get to the release button. Can any one tell from the attached photos what is wrong? I just can't see how the button assembly could ever line up with the cut-out in the faring. Trevor
sorry to hear that certain individuals (cannot call them human beings) have broken into your car and damaged parts in the process Not sure but maybe loosen the screws and see if it realigns and retighten the screws to see if that improves it
