ElectroDan
I've recently purchased a 2007 2.0 EX petrol, which has a dirty lump of sponge stuck inside the fuel flap (photo attached). Is this standard, or has a previous owner added this for some reason? It's not something I've had on any other car I've owned.
BAZZER RN 1
Hi Dan this is not something I have heard of before , maybe its the previous owners idea to soak up condensation inside the Fuel Flap. My 2008 hasn't got anything like this.
ElectroDan
Cheers! In that case I'll take it out as it's pretty grubby.
Alan gsd
no sponge in my CRV but I have used bits of sponge in other cars in the past to stop a flap tapping and sometimes to wipe up round filler pipe... bit sad really must get out more.... BAZZER RN 1
Had a word with my Son who is a Car Mechanic He agrees there is no reason for the lump of Sponge in the Petrol Flap
