  2. Had my renewal update from the RAC today, was £29.50 a month now going up to £46.99. !! So a phone call when I can find the right contact number- 'How can we help you today'? Easy cancel my membership your taking the P with that sort of increase I'll go with Green Flag. 'Lets see if I can help you' .....pause.... 'How about if we can renew your membership with all the current benefits for £31.00'?...... So I said yes but it seems we are being screwed left, right and centre if we don't fight back. Alan
  3. Advice please - Tyres for a 2005 CRV the front are 215 - 65-16 T the back 215-65-16 H. The tyre presure label on the door pillar just shows 215-65-16 T some trye outlets mention a diifences rating front and back and some don't !! I understand it's about speed, but I not likely to go over 70 in the old girl, so what do I buy the same all round or T front- and H back. Alan
  4. If you don't get a offer then MMG Dog Guards sometimes have 2nd hand guards for sale or will even make one for your car. Alan

  8. Thanks Trevor, I'll give that a go, now then SR or Colegate!!!!! 😀
  9. I'm not an expert or even near being one, but I would say it's very uncommon, my 2005 CRV is my first honda and it's so well finished and everything fits like a glove. Sounds and looks like a hard 48K miles. Alan
  10. Read the article at the bottom of this page about Headlight cleaning has anyone used these kind of products and found they worked or has a homemade product that made a diffence. Alan
  11. Thanks again Trevor for this information. Booked in for next Tues/Weds Alan
  12. Thanks Trevor, the dual mass flywheel is in the price. First time I've ever had a clutch need replacing on any car I've had. This little CRV has a tow bar on the back don't know hpw much work she did but is it true towing does wear a clutch out quicker??

  15. Welcome Jon, l'm a CRV 2005 bloke, like you think they are the best, lovely looking motor. Loads of exprienced Honda people here (of which I'm not one!!) if you need help or if your can share yours even better. Enjoy!! Alan
  16. Welcome Trevor, cross check who owners the brand, some are very clever at making statement like UK based, produced in the UK etc when often it means it's made in the EU, China etc and just packaged here for resale.
  17. Being a big dog person.... I wouldn't dream of giving my dogs food, treats or toys from China, Thailand, Vietnam and the like. The word 'China' and 'dog' conjures up images of dogs being beaten to death, throats cut, put in hot oil and cooked alive and eaten – images I would rather not have seen. In the US there are dogs that died of kidney disease after eating treats from China Perhaps the majority of people don't realize or maybe aren't concerned about the origin of the products. I’m told also of pet food manufacturers buying from China and adverting they are from the UK. Some get away with it by saying – they are packed in the UK, they just miss out the bit about being imported from China! What pet food brands are made in China? China Pet Food Company List include ADM. Affinity Petcare SA. Alltech. Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (Wellness Pet Company Inc.) General Mills Inc. Mars Incorporated. Nestle (Purina) PLB International. PLEASE know that if you choose to buy any treat made in China, your pet may be at risk. Chicken jerky treats, chicken tenders, chicken strips, chicken treats, or sweet potato treats, they can all pose a potential threat. Many deaths have been caused from two chemical additives that were present in some of the food: melamine and cyanuric acid. When both melamine and cyanuric are present in pet food, they form dangerous crystals in the kidneys of the dogs and cats who ingest them. Toys made in China, for example, have a higher rate of toxins and lead found in their toys. I’m told that all the supermarkets and the big retail pet stores sell treats from China UK made Pet Foods include The Dog Takeaway …….. www.petaroni.com Bucher’s Dog Food – www.butchersdogfood.co.uk Albion Dog Food - www.albionpetfoods.co.uk Food UK treats Poland Alan

    Poor David

My Dear friend, Or may I call you BAZZER RN you don’t know me but a mutual friend passed your name to me, you may however have heard of my tours going from place to place speaking of the peril of drinking and fornicating with loose women. On my tours I have been greatly helped by David a poor wretched soul who had lived a life of drinking and loose women, he would sit on the stage, swearing, breaking wind, and exposing himself thus showing the curse of such a wicked life. Unfortunately David died a few weeks ago and I wonder if you would like to take his place? My blessings go with you The Very Reverend Father Tom
