Radeon Posted February 8 Posted February 8 My 2007 Honda FRV has a leak in the heater core making passenger footwell wet. Also strong smell of antifreeze coolant and windows steam up. Am looking to replace the heater matrix with a new one. Labour is approx 5 hours so used heater matrix with 90days warrenty is not ideal. New part has a year warrenty. Unfortunately Honda have the heater matrix on back order until May 2024 and none are in stock! Does anyone know the part details or if this part is shared with another Honda. Have found a company to manufacturer a new radiator but I need to send them a photo with details.
ec5780 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 There are parts diagrams available on parts-honda.uk They also have a reverse "part assignment" search feature that lets you put in a part number and see what models it is used in. However that search unfortunately seems to have some sort of limit to the number of results it will show online. Perhaps if you manage to make contact with the company that runs the website they will be able to get you the full list?
Radeon Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Thanks for advice ec5780, it appears that the heater matrix 79110-SJH-E41 is specific to Honda FRV's. The heater is similar in the civic,) (not sure how similar?) and has similar code 79110-SMG-E41 the input and output hoses are far longer. The leak is only slight may try a leak sealant and wait until May.
