Rock4547 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Morning All, Need some help please. My wife's 65 plate CRV is stop start and yesterday the auto stop/start disabled light came on with the A circled next to a battery symbol. I was due to look at it this weekend hopefully but this morning the battery is dead and the car won't turn over. I'm assuming the battery needs replacing and looking at Halfords they do stop start batteries that fit, but warn they may require coding to the vehicle. Can anyone confirm that I may well need to have the battery coded to the vehicle? Many thanks Phil
Trevor Posted July 2 Posted July 2 How did you get on with a replacement battery? Did it code in okay?
Rock4547 Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 Ok thanks. In the end my wife took it to the dreaded Halfords who jumped it and fitted the battery. Thankfully the engine management light the jump threw up cleared and the battery is all good. I'd imagine it didn't require coding. 1
Trevor Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Thanks for sharing the feedback and always nice to know it was a simple fix
