pny405 Posted Wednesday at 02:30 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:30 PM I bought a new ENY1 in March 2024. I knew that the total miles at 100% was rubbish (about 250) but I didn't expect my surprise on the first cold day today I charged it overnight last night when the air temperature was -3 deg C. When I started the car this morning it said 100% charged. It also said 138 miles to empty I rang the Honda garage where I bought it from and they said I could expect a drop in cold weather as it didn't have a heat converter Can this be correct.? They did offer to have a look at to see if the computer needed a memory dump etc Thanks everyone Philip
Yerman Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM It doesn't have a heat pump, the range is being calculated using current temperature together with you last driving habits, it's assuming you will select Heated seats, Heated steering wheel and blower and cabin heater, Etc. warm it through switch off the phone charging pad and turn down the blower fan and set seat heat to minimum. Re-check and it should gain mileage. Mine does.
Yerman Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM Forgot to mention the following which also helps; Battery Warming System Designed to prevent the temperature of the battery from dropping when outside temperatures drop, thereby maintaining starting and running efficiency. When outside temperatures are low, the battery warming system will use the power from the charging equipment to maintain the temperature of the battery until the next time the vehicle is driven.
pny405 Posted Friday at 01:05 PM Author Posted Friday at 01:05 PM thanks but do other manufacturers have the same issue? I would not have bought this had I been told of the problem how can it only do 138 miles on a 100% charged battery that is insane isn't it?
Cav65 Posted Friday at 07:38 PM Posted Friday at 07:38 PM I’m having exactly the same experience with my car bought in September. its not great but I do limited miles so not too much of a problem and thanks to Yerman’s post I now understand why this is occurring.
