honda1 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi Good evening, would like some advice please... so few weeks ago changing gear was getting harder and harder and was grinding gears so took it into a garage who replaced the clutch master cylinder said it was leaking and had no fluid in biting point is really low to the ground but no clutch slippage. 2 weeks on biting point is still pretty low to the floor and sometimes still grinds putting it into a gear its much better than it was but still occasional, also the gear lever in general feels like it could go in and out of gears a bit easier not the smoothest ... anyone any ideas?? does it need a clutch adjustment or gearbox oil change? kind regards
Trevor Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I would say that is could be a bit of air in the clutch hydraulic system which could do with another bleed. It also wouldn't do any harm to change (or at least check the level) the gearbox oil....to at least eliminate that possibility 1
honda1 Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 Just abit of an update garage said the clutch master cylinder was leaking so had that changed which was better for a week then started crunching gears again after a week or 2 so garage had it back said the slave cylinder was now leaking so changed that much better at the moment but 2nd gear seems to crunch every so often they also said the clutch was showing signs of wear and tear could this be our 2nd gears issues? It mainly does it coming down the gears into 2nd Thanks for any help
