Just about to change the engine oil on my 2007 HONDA CRV petrol automatic with 14000 on clock. Which oil would members recommend. Thanks . Donny

Hi I am new to the site although I have been running Hondas for several years starting with grey imports, a 1.5 CRX on carbs, followed by a DC2 SIR Integra then a DC5 Type R Integra. as my user name implies "Old" perhaps if I had the DC5 a few years earlier it would have been great, but as a daily driver it and the roads around here (Staffs Moorlands) the DC5 was bril 10% of the time but a pian the rest. Went sensible with a 56 plate Accord Estate (being a cyclist hatch's and estates are best). However a bit of mid life crisis went after another CRX but a UK one, saw loads as use to have Fridays off and this was the best but TBH not really. sill covers of…

I LOVE my Hondas. Have had hatchbacks since 1978 In April of 2018 I bought my first one that was made in this century 😂, a 2015 6 speed manual Fit. Used, it was on CarGuru , but from an unreputable dealer. Anyway, there is always water in my he spare tire well. Does anyone else have this experience? I had it with my Civic hatchbacks but thought it was due to age. thank you for any input Suzie

Hi I own a Civic type S 59 plate in metallic blue and am inquiring whether anybody has had trouble with excessive chip damage to hood and front wings. I have looked at cars of comparable age in the same geographical area and have not come across any as badly damaged as mine, wondering whether this has been noticed by anyone else with this model in this colour, possible paint problem?

Going to be taking my old 2.2 ictdi mk7 accord on track, as I’m getting a new car in the coming weeks. what performance gains can I get and what mods are available for the N22A2 engines? I have already had an EGR and DPF DELETE, race cat, and straight piped twin tip exhaust, stage 1 remap, battery has been relocated to the boot and a ram air cold air intake fitted. I’m waiting on delivery of a lightweight flywheel, and performance clutch. What further performance mods are available for this engine.

Bought a 2005 Accord 2.4 exc for £1k as a project car, car had full Honda service history but pulled to the right, sorted out that issue by changing the warped rota and flushing the power steering fluid and filled with Honda spec plus fitted a new aux belt, now car drives great, so far have fitted a ugen style spoiler , piper cross air filter and painted the front grill, Mods line up to be done cat back exhaust, coilovers, remap type s body kit 18 inch alloys will update photos as i go

Hi everyone. I've decided that I want to own a beautiful CR-V. I have seen one but for the last 10 days I've been back and forth repeatedly to the point of madness and so was hoping for some advice. The model is 2011 EX 2.2. It is in beautiful condition both inside and out. It has full service history BUT it has 95000. Now, I fully intend to run it for the next three/four years but my doubts are; 1. I've never owned a diesel so what about the Turbo life? 2. The DPF baffles me. How can I check it? 3. The high miles i.e should I be bracing myself for major work? The car is beautiful and the car dealer is VERY patient but not for much longer I feel. …

Hi everyone . I've just bought a 2018 honda crv , only had it 6 weeks and there's a problem with the power steering, they seems to be a slight resistance on the steering and a noise likes it's sticking, had it back to company I bought it from and they've told me its the power steering motor that is faulty. There are going to fix the problem but , there's a back log on the part until end of October, I've got it in writing that the car is safe to drive ,but I'm not sure . Is there anyone on here had a similar problem Thanks.

HI, I have just joined the forum to see if anyone can help with an issue I have with my 2018 CRV Sat Nav system. I have just updated the sat nav with the latest maps etc from the Garmin site and have experienced a problem with error "Navigation System Displays "Can't Unlock Maps" or "No Map Data" " being displayed. I tried the instructions on the Garmin support page to resolve this but get the same problem even after that guidance was followed. Now being advised to take car to dealer for sat nav service - that is OK but in current lockdown garages are obviously not open. I have a 2017 HONDA HR-V BLACK EDITION I-DTEC 120 (1.6cc) & have ongoing issues with the idle stop and wondering if this is a common problem? Over the past 2 years it’s been in the Garage at least 6 times for the same issue or issues relating to the idle stop and is booked back into garage agin tomorrow. The idle stop works for so long (anything from a few days to max 6 months) and then randomly stops working with a dash warning showing low battery charge. It was last in the garage 2 weeks ago when they again charged the battery overnight, fault again seemed to be rectified but 10 days & 300 miles later the same issue. Hi. I'm totally new to Hondas but I was impressed by what I read about the Mark 8 Civic on Parkers Guide when looking for a car for mainly commuting to work and back and the odd trip to the coast. I'm looking to purchase one in the next few weeks and wondered whether there is anything I should look out for when going to see one, inherent faults, best engine, best spec etc? My commute is 13 miles round trip each day, is diesel best or petrol? I'd love an automatic but Parker's said that it was not very good, is that true? I am Nigel (north of 50), I live in Reading and I am the proud owner of a 3rd gen 2.0L petrol 07 CRV. I am a keen diy-er and I love to 'tinker'. I had to replace my engine a year ago, which I did myself with a little help (muscle) from a friend. It is my intention to rebuild the old engine as a spare or resale as project when the days get longer. My only problem is I can't get a service manual for the R20A2 engine installed in my car. I bought a service manual (pdf) for the correct vehicle, but that engine was not in it. I'd be thankful for a little help/advice.

Hi All, After some help if possible. We have had our 2010 CR-V 2.2 exec for 6 months now and really love it, no problems until yesterday when the rear camera, reverse lights and reverse tilt mirror all stopped working at the same time. Everything else on the car works as it should. I'm guessing/hoping its a fuse or relay as I would think they are all connected somehow but any advise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Seems that no garage wants to know as price against value of my car .Am on hunt for a GOOD second hand one OR a new one if possible .Anyone else found this problem ?

At 80 years old I am reliving the past. I recently purchased a 1989 Prelude SI. I owned one back in the mid 90's and selling it was the worst car thing I ever did. No the thrill is back.
