2003 to 2008 Accord

Hi everyone, I have problem that I thought I had fixed, namely the door locks coming on (after 30 sec) when the doors were open. The once resulted on my only set of keys sat in the boot and all the doors locked. Luckily the ingenious use of a coat hanger, magnet, welding wire and string enabled me to ‘fish’ out the keys. The culprit was a faulty rear door closed sensor. However I feel it would be beneficial to have a second key that I could keep at home if it lock again. I am not interested in getting the transponder cloned, I just want something that would physically allow me to turn the key and pop the locks. So my question is, does…

I have a UK 2005 Honda Accord 2.4. Fault: (1) My VSA activation indicator warning triangle light comes on and stay on. (2) The VSA system indication warning light also comes on after a few 100m driving and stays on. I took my care to my local garage and they got an Error Code of 84-1 but their diagnostics tools doesn't allow further investigation and provides several options of possible causes. Therefore they are unable to fix the fault and suggested my car need to go to a Honda Garage or Honda specialised. Any idea's

Hi Just gone to insert key into lock and it was very stiff and will not turn on. Both keys are the same so I presume it is not the keys. Tried a bit of release fluid on the keys before insertion but that not help either. Has anyone else had the same problem and if so what did you do to overcome it. Didn't help any that the window and roof were open and it started to pour down and no manual closers that I could see. Couldn't believe it!!

Found the issue of a brand new battery drain after 2-3 days . Being the fuse for the interior lights and the radio - not looked into yet due to the weather only removed the fuse as a temp fix. As far as i know all the interior lights work correctly and so does the basic stereo . What could i be looking for as the issue draining the battery. 2007 honda accord 2.0 155bhp saloon

Hi i have a 2007 2.0 honda accord saloon 5 speed manual , with a loose / sloppy feeling gear lever . I have heard there are such things as replacement selector bushes . Could somebody point me in the right direction please.

Hi - I am a newcomer to this forum, hope someone can give me some advice, please. Could not open the door with the remote fob to disarm the alarm, put the key in drivers door,when opened, alarm went off, unable to stop it until used the remote key pressed up against the front passenger door, alarm stopped. I am now concerned about opening the door, If the alarm is activated, will it stop if the battery is disconnected or is there a backup supply to the alarm? Regards - Alan

Hi all, just a thought I am going to fit new rear drop links on my 2005 Accord 2.4 auto tourer - the car has almost 270,000 miles on and they are the originals - I will not pay Honda prices, so the question is = what make should I go for and what make are the Honda originals ? I don`t want cheap rubbish I can get a pair unknown for £11 post free or a pair of MEYLE for £30 post free, I think I am going for the latter but thought I would ask the question anyway - Thanks in advance jimbojim

If I don't drive my car for a week, the car will not start. I seem to have narrowed it down to fuse no6 ( radio and interior lights) in the footwell. I have the switches turned off, removed all the blubs, booth and doors, not the sun visors or glove box, this stop the drain, in September I had the car locked for seven days, with fuse no6 removed and car started ok. I have noticed that when the engine is running, tested a few times going to work on a 30 mile journey, with multimeter connected into the lighter socket, I get no more than 13.4 Volts on the DC system. I changed the battery as well at the start of the summer. Any ideas?

To open or lock the 2007 saloon, I need to have the fob up close to the front windows, it will not work if I am at the booth. Tried both keys, checked the batteries and replaced them anyway. About two or three times a year, the alarm will go off outside my house, off road parking.

Six months ago, I had problems with the left front brakes, caliper was sticking so it was replaced. All go since. Last week I notice the wheel and caliper behind it is hotter at times compared to the right one, this gets warm, the rears are cold. Brakes are working fine and no alarms up on the dash,

Hi all, has anyone used a solar panel with the OBD port to keep battery topped up ? my 05 2.4 accord auto gets very little use so I need a method to keep it topped up without having to remove and charge the battery every so often, its winter again so I have bought the panel already but thought I should check with you guys first, better safe than sorry - any advice welcome Thanks

Hi, My clutch on my Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC EX Tourer 5dr (2008) needs replacing and I have been quoted around £1000 to fix it. The car has around 105,000 miles and the air conditioning no longer works but the alternator and the break pads have recently been replaced and apart from the clutch & air con the car seems in good condition. The car, due to the size of it is great (when it is working) as we use it for camping most weekends. I would like to get it fixed but my worry is that something else will go wrong in a few months time. What would anyone suggest I do? Are there any know faults that are common for the Honda Accord of this age. Sh…
