jimbojim Posted November 25, 2023 Share Posted November 25, 2023 Hi all, has anyone used a solar panel with the OBD port to keep battery topped up ? my 05 2.4 accord auto gets very little use so I need a method to keep it topped up without having to remove and charge the battery every so often, its winter again so I have bought the panel already but thought I should check with you guys first, better safe than sorry - any advice welcome Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevor Posted December 8, 2023 Share Posted December 8, 2023 Not personally used one to keep a battery topped up but do use a battery conditioner on my motorbikes to avoid sulphation which occurs during a period of not being used frequently over the winter period I think as long as you have some method to retain a charge within the battery even if it is minimal then the sulphation process will not occur (as much) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
