Hi all, I have a 2019 CR-V 1.5 Turbo Manual AWD. This is my third CR-V and is the best yet. The others were EX automatics and this one now has the power and driveability that the others should have had. My issue is, does any one else notice an engine overrun when changing up gears. I find this very odd and to overcome this and get a smooth gear change I find that coming off gas for a second or two and then change gear does the trick. The delay allows the revs to drop a bit and then the gear change is much smoother. Has anyone else have this or is it just me. Regards.

Hi, I bought a used 2019 CR-V Hybrid about 3 months ago. The 12 V battery has gone dead and needs replacing. All the online auotomatic battery selector sites (RAC, Halfords, Euro car parts etc) select 175mm wide stop-start battery for it that doesn't fit (I know I bought one!). the existing battery is 125mm wide. I cannot find a stop-start battery in this width anywhere. So what I am wondering is whether I actually need a stop start battery - is this battery getting used each time the engine starts, or does it sue the hybrid battery to start it? Anyone successfully repalced a battery in one of these? Thanks …

Hi All, I have recently bought a 2007 CR-V Automatic with 118,000 miles on the clock and have two problems that I would like some advice on please. When starting from cold the starter motor makes a noise. I think it is at the stage when the engine has just started and the motor is disengaging. Is this something I should worry about and have fixed or should I just leave it? The automatic gearbox is occasionally behaving oddly. (I am pretty sure it is the gearbox.) It makes a noise that I can only describe as being like running over a gentle rumble strip. It only happens briefly so I am not sure whether it is actually vibrating or jus…

Hi I have entered into a dispute with a windscreen fitting company after they have refitted the scuttle panel and rubber seals back around my windscreen and left gaps, it looks terrible and would mean water will be getting where its not supposed to! To help my case i could do with some pictures of what it should look like. So i need pictures at the bottom of the windscreen showing the rubber strip on the scuttle panel in contact with the glass and a picture of the rubber strip that runs at the top of the windscreen between the glass and the roof/pano glass. Any help you can offer would be much apreciated. Thanks

Hi all. I'm new to car forums but I thought I would give it a go, I have a problem my CRV 2008, that mechanic can't cure. I keep getting an intermittent vibration coming up through the steering wheel, sometimes it lasts for a second or two, other times it can last as much as twenty seconds.. Sometimes this is so bad the windscreen shakes as well. I happens all the time but it is more noticeable while on cruise control at between 38 and 40mph. Has anybody heard of this or knows something about it. I would be very grateful for your help. Thank you.

Hi Guys, If you have an Idling problem I have found a simple remedy which worked for me without having to use any tools 1. Make sure all car electrics are off 2. Turn the Ignition on and wait for 2 seconds 3. Turn Engine on and keep the RPM Revs at 3000 until the temperature reaches Max & the Cooling Fans come on 4. Once the Cooling Fans come on, lift off the accelerator pedal completely 5. Wait 5 Mins This should fix the fluctuation and Idling Problem, The engine needs to be turned on & off a few times for the Computer to finish learning. If the Idling is still too high turn the engine on & off a few times and wait a couple …

Hi All. After breaking down in my 2007 crv 2.2 diesel I had a new intercooler fitted and my turbo was sent off to be rebuilt. All seemed fine until last Sunday. I was driving on the flat at approx 60mph having done approx 30 miles. No warning lights, no noises, no smoke but from nowhere I had no throttle response and the revs started dropping until it cut out. I switched everything off, started engine again and off I went until the same happened again about a mile further. RAC detected nothing including on their diagnostic device. Took it back to the garage who stated everything was in full working order and no faults or error codes were found when they ran a diagnostic c…

Hi. I have a 2016 1.6 I-Dtec SR CRV. It has the engine warning light on which has been diagnosed with needing a new 'Air fuel ratio sensor 1'. The error code are Error code: P0133 and P2A00 The local Honda dealer has quoted me over 700 pounds to supply and fit the replacement sensor.. the car drives fine and fuel consumption is normal. So i'm looking to get a non-Honda replacement and a local specialist has recommended Denso as a alternative, but the problem is finding and sourcing the sensor needed. The Honda part number is Part number: H36531RZ0G01 Does anyone know where I can source a replacement sensor and what product numbe…

We purchased a 2 wheel drive 2014 CRV in 2017 with 33,000 miles from a Honda dealer. On way home we noticed it shuddered at 60 mph. Took it back and eventually they changed both driveshafts. Fast forward another 36,000 miles and it’s started again. Honda have said it needs new Driveshafts again at a cost of £2,000. Cars now 8 years old and completed 70,000 miles, but to need 2 sets of driveshafts seems crazy. Has anyone else heard of this issue?

Hi All, New to the forum here, but am looking for a little help, just wondering who can tell me what's missing from the passenger side (behind the front bumper) My CRV (2015 MkIV I-Dtec 1.6 SE-T) took a bit of a knock to the O/S and the pics below are a result of the damage, can anyone let me know what's missing as parts weren't with the car when I collected from towing company. Looks to be either a A/C Condenser or Turbo Intercooler but there appears to be something missing from in front of it. Image 1: this is the connection, with nothing to connect to. also, need to replace the frame holding the ?intercooler? anyone have any pa…

Hello good people of Honda Owners Club, I have just got myself a CR-V which, although registered in 2012, is of the model that ran from 2007-2011. It has slight front end damage, which has wiped out the headlamp washers. When I've taken the bumper off, I can see a short pipe projecting forward from what looks to me like a motor, that sits at the bottom outboard side of the washer fluid bottle. I expected that, when I operated the windscreen washers then water would come spurting out of this pipe, as if trying to feed the headlamp washers. However, no, in fact the water in the pipe retreated as I squirted the windscreen. I can't for the life of me work out wher…

Hello All, New to the forum but not to the 3rd gen CR-V - I owned an EX petrol auto until it was written off in 2019. I replaced it with a 2WD Volvo XC60, with the 2.0 version of the D5 diesel engine - the reason I went this route is because we were doing about 18k miles per year; it made sense to go with the Volvo as we were forced to replace the car anyway, and it ticked the fuel economy box better than a diesel CR-V. I also fancied trying something different, and I had heard good things about Volvo. 2+ years on....driving pattern has changed (now under 7k miles per year and likely to stay that way), and the Volvo has never been as good as the C…

Hi all I have a 2017 CRV and the tyre pressure monitor has come on and I have been told by my local dealer that it’s because I recently changed a rear tyre due to a non repairable puncture and the replacement tyre doesn’t match the other tyre and that they should only be changed in matching pairs although they are both the same make and the other one was a new pair three months ago, is this correct.

Hi, I have the above error code on my 2009 honda crv. It says it's the 2nd clutch pressure switch fault. Has anyone experienced this fault before? If so is it an easy fix? Does anyone know the part number for the switch and where it's located and how to get access please. Thank you.
