HR-V 2015 to 2021

We have had a new HR-V for about 2 months. The other day we went away for a week and when we got back the 12V battery was dead. Prior to going away we had done a 150 mile trip, so not like we hadn’t been using it. Got the AA round to jump it and they confirmed no interior lights had been left on to cause it. So took it to our Honda dealer, before they even looked at it they said it was normal for the 12V battery to only last 7 days with no usage… they said nothing is wrong and it is intended behaviour (they did one of the automated tests which showed all the electrical systems were OK and battery health was good.) is this really true? I’m not sure if this is covered in another thread - forgive me if it has already been discussed. Has anyone else experienced the tyre deflation warning coming on even though there is nothing wrong with the tyre pressures? I have to initialise the system each and every journey. It has got worse, too over the months and I doubted myself so I got the tyres checked - but they are fine. Is it possible to replace the sensor (wherever it is) or even disable the function altogether as it is not particularly useful even when working properly. Honda HRV 2016 - Sat Nav just stopped working a few days ago - black screen only now. No helpful info in the manual. Has anyone had similar problems & can it be reset?

Hi there, just purchased my mums 2016 Honda HR-V EX, 25,000 miles. It appears there is a problem with the electric folding door mirrors, they seem to have a total mind of their own. They fold in and out on their own accord whilst driving? Any ideas what’s causing this and how to remedy the problem? Any suggestions or ideas on how I get the Sat nav system updated please, and do I have to go to my local dealer to have the system updated? Any idea on cost? Many thanks in advance guys.

Hi I have an Honda HRV 2016 petrol. It is showing loads of alarm warning lights. I’ve had it in local garage and he has reset them but is not confident it will clear the issue. I’ve bought OBD 11 which shows 1 fault which I reset but all the lights have stayed on. There is no lack of performance with the car when lights are on. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have. 2017 HR-V. I’ve noticed water around the boot catch in bumper and then noticed the carpet under the boot in the carpeted spare tyre area was wet. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Just had annual service at 43,000 miles for my Jan 2016 HRV. Honda say discs 90% worn and change discs and pads will cost £329. Is 43,000 miles about the life of these discs and do the pads need changing at same time. Comments appreciated. Thanks

Just had a reversing camera fitted to my 2017 SE Navi by Audiofile Incar of Bishops Stortford. Well pleased with the result - no exposed wiring and superb picture from the navigation screen.

I have just purchased a 2019 HR-V and the parking brake doesn't come on automatically when I turn the engine off. Is there a was of setting so it comes on automatically?

Hi (this is cross posted from HRVForum site) I've had this warning light come on 2 weeks ago. I've taken car (2016 HRV diesel) to my local garage (not a dealership) and they "renewed the fuel filter" . I've had one fairly long drive since then and no issues , however yesterday the warning came back on, and has stayed on now. From what I've read the fuel pump needs draining of water and reset. I don't think my garage did this at all 😞 . I find the lane assist feature intrusive if not dangerous, the correction effect is similar to a skid starting. Can the feature be disabled or better yet, removed

The fitted bulb is a Toshiba dual filament 21/5W wedgetail. I am looking for an LED or zenon replacement. Any suggestions? I should have added that I have trawled through ebay and search engine listings and any LED or xenon replacements come up 'not suitable for your model'

Hi Has anyone any experience of buying and installing Front and Rear wind deflectors. I have looked at a few and they all seem to say they are not suitable for cars with automatic folding mirrors! Hi guys, i am thinking to buy 1.5 petrol Honda Hrv 2015 reg, but before i do that i was searching for service and similar parts for the car. Why i struggle to find fuel filter? and dual mass flywheel? Checked main car part websites liek eurocarparts and etc....thanks for any thoughts

I'm trying to find out how many HRV owners suffer from water puddles in their boot well. I have an HRV 2015 which has a three inch puddle. Approaching my dealer they are aware that this problem exists and have had many vehicles in with the same problem. This is a manufacturing/design problem that has existed for years the earliest of which I have heard is 2010. The latest at the moment is 2017. Honda UK will not admit to this age old problem and are washing their hands of it. If I can get enough evidence i will escalate the problem. I have a 66 plate HR-V EX with electric folding mirrors. The problem I have is they have a mind of their own, and keep opening and closing whilst driving the vehicle. Sometimes they will close for up to 5 mins and there’s nothing I can do to open them again. clearly an electrical / motor issue, has anyone else experienced a similar problem with their HR-V and what suggestions or advice can you offer please? The vehicle has only covered 27,000 miles. obvs the vehicle is now out of warranty. kind regards

I have a 2017 HRV. Over the past week I have noticed that my miles until empty reading and fuel gauge have not been working as they normally would. My miles until empty will be on 600 and then while driving randomly drop to around 400. This will then repeat and go back up to around 600. My fuel gauge is also not going down as it normally would. Any ideas?

Even when the lights are turned off they will come on intermittingly while driving and usually triggered by a bump or can happen if I touch the head lining. Any ideas will be helpful and in particular how to get behind the light. I am guessing it is a short circuit. Thanks

Having had the 2020 HR-V Sport for nearly 2 months I thought I would post some thoughts on it. We px'd a 2018 Jazz Sport to buy it and the HR-V seems to be better built, although both are Japan built I believe. The Jazz had a lot of squeaks & rattles plus an annoying wind whistle by the drivers door at 60mph+. The HR-V has none of this except a noise from the centre arm rest when leaning on it, cured with some carefully placed furry side velcro. The interior seems of a higher quality fit & feel overall. Hello, I am interested in buying a second hand, second generation HRV. Does anyone have any knowledge on the noise level reduction after the facelift? They claim the noise has been reduced somewhat. Is it significant? I am curious about motorway noise levels. How is it compared to other hondas. Is a CRV much quiter? Thanks in advance.

Good morning all, I am new to the forum so hi everyone. Wondering if anyone else has the problem I am having with our 2015 ex HRV. The battery went flat so have replaced it. The car had sat for a few weeks waiting for the battery to be replaced. I fired her up no problem but the collision detection and lane departure error lights came up on the dash. Also the lane departure physical button refused to toggle on and off. Hi all, I have just joined the HR-V club with a 69 plate 1.5 turbo sport model. I love it but have one small concern which is when I'm driving along after a few minutes it starts to feel like my ears are about to pop (like when on a plane) which I can only assume is down to a pressure in the cabin which is strange as it shouldn't be that sealed to hold low pressure.
