Honda Jazz 2006 1.4 Petrol Clutch /gearchange
Trevor replied to kiwiflyer's topic in Jazz 2001 to 2008
Hi John....welcome to the Club Where was the water leak finally tracked down to out of interest? As regards the clutch, this could be a situation of the driven plate starting to stick to the pressure plate or flywheel if it has been sat around for a while> I have known this recently with cars that have driven through water and this has lead to adhesion (stiction) of the friction lining surfaces. To the point where the clutch has stuck completely and had to be freed off for the gears to select. It will usually clear with normal driving and once the plate has cleaned up a bit -
I would take a trip to Halfords and look at their range Also, see if they sell the fascia plates and connection harnesses for your car to make life easier when fitting it
-
Not sure but I guess if you come across one for sale then worth trying out for size I imagine you would need to take into account seating positions as well as it all contributes to how you can fit into the car satisfactorily Let us know how you get on with it

USB Flash Drive Folders/Steering Wheel Audio Controls
Trevor replied to Tam's topic in 2008 to 2015 Accord
I don't think they were programmable steering wheel controls then, but worth checking the handbook which is usually quite extensive information and the solution may be in there. -
Wow! thats a tough one and quite possibly worth taking it to a specialist auction house to get a valuation. Needless to say it would benefit from being put back to original in every respect and go from there

A knock sensor is normally located on the side of the engine block and midway between cylinders 2 and 3 (unless there are twin sensors then they would be between the first two and last two cylinders)
-
Which component has failed? Either way, I would fix it sooner than later but not sure it would be covered under warranty as it would be a component with an factory issue or known issue (such as A/C compressor), but good luck with that one! Let us know how you get on with it

INFOTAINMENT MANUAL IN ENGLISH
Trevor replied to Ian Chiang Mai's topic in Honda General Discussions
Good luck with your search! I guess the only way is for trial and error which may yield some success with pressing buttons and remembering sequences, in the interim of course -

Part Needed for Honda CRX
Trevor replied to CRaddict's topic in Buy or Sell Honda Parts & Accessories
It could be the sensor ring but also worth checking the resistance of all other sensors as well The toothed ring should be clear of all corrosion and build of grease and dirt and also ensure it is not broken (e.g. cracked). -
Hi Guilly ....welcome to the Club the CRX seems to be a popular model at the moment, there are a few other owners in her as well. Good to have you onboard!

Hi....welcome to the Club It's a tough one as in would you regret getting rid of it and then trying to find one to replace it could be difficult. Are the bikes Honda as well? Which models? Good to have you onboard!
-
You should be able to replace just the struts I have managed to buy replacements from AutoDoc who carry a good range for most cars

I would get it checked as could be dangerous if on a steered wheel. Could be wheel bearing, worn driveshaft CV joint or even a broken coil spring rubbing on the tyre
-
It could be alternator bearings or power steering pump or even the belt itself. I would eliminate other areas by disconnecting the belt and running the engine without it to see if the noise is still there.

Auto folding mirror kit for Honda Accord 7th Gen? Any tips?
Trevor replied to JezUK's topic in 2003 to 2008 Accord
eBay is usually the best source for this type of modified part but would imagine it would also need coding into the CanBus electrical system to get it to function -
I would take it to another garage for a second opinion as the crankshaft pulleys, A/Cond. pulleys rattle. Also check it is not the Dual Mass Flywheel rattling on idle, or switching the engine on/off
-
I cannot see any reason the car cannot run fine on E10 as it is new enough and been designed to run on Ethanol mixed fuel. Not sure why the manual states that though?

I have found ones with the same connector and bore size to fit the hub and even if it is too long it will still work (make sure you have the correct one: 2 pin or 3 pin - depending on passive or active sensor) -
