  1. Shouldn't be at all invasive and nothing that cannot be reversed within 5 minutes. Let us know how you get on with it
  2. Hi Jim There are a few listed here https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=honda+hrv+centre+armrest&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X2000+honda+hrv+centre+armrest.TRS0&_nkw=2000+honda+hrv+centre+armrest&_sacat=0 Not sure if they are the same type as yours though
  3. Hi Mark....welcome to the Forum I fitted a Nextbase Dash Cam to my 2007 CRV and it works fine. Two things worth mentioning though: 1. Use the sticky back adapter plate to affix to the screen where the black dotted area is to avoid the cam being too low down and tucks it out of the way nicely. The lead then tucks away very nicely behind the trim with no effort at all. 2. The fusebox is a nightmare to access and remove fuses, even had to modify the standard Honda fuse to fit the Nextbase adapter (wholly the Honda at fault here I must say). Also trying to find a fuse that was ignition switched....good luck with that one. In the end, feeling sore lying across the sill and with my head upside down under the dash, I opted for a 'hot' fuse, being live all of the time but setting the Cam to sleep after a short while and it also works to activate the Cam if any movement triggers it. Here is a link to an article I wrote about the 512GW Dash Cam and the links to the Hardwire Kit as well. http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-512gw-dash-cam-review/ http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-dash-cam-hardwire-kit/ Let us know how you get on with it, especially if you do locate an ignition switched fuse Cheers, Trevor
  4. As you say I can't see one for the 2nd Generation CRV on http://www.iceboxauto.com/honda The only other option could be to replace the head unit for an aftermarket one which will give you all the options but probably won't work off the steering wheel controls (if fitted).
  5. Hi Andy....welcome to the Forum Fine looking Accord you have there Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

    STORAGE

it squeezes inwards (bit like the old fashioned bullworker)...if you push it to one side, you'll see how it works. Then pull the blinds from the seat headrests to remove.
  7. I'll leave the post here, maybe someone can help ? anyone ?
  8. Sorry, the forum is aimed at Honda cars only, although the Blackbird engine is a wonderful thing I don't think anyone has expert knowledge of it on here.
  9. Hi Carl Yours is the later model system which doesn't flip down and you insert the SatNav discs in the slot at the top, I believe. I have the earlier one that has the front that flips down and it has a slot for DVDs that stay in there. The latest discs I have seen are 2014 which is still very old...not sure what to update to be honest. However, there are options to improve / alter the trip settings for shorter routes, etc. Mine are access by pressing the relevant buttons to get to alternative routes and it will show all the other potential routes available. Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi ..... welcome to the Forum I too have a 2007 (3rd Generation) CRV and know what you mean about notchy second gear. This crunching always tends to be when I'm in a hurry to change into second as the revs tend to stay high (on the diesel engine) and is almost unavoidable unless I slow the whole process down. I am aware of doing this and always apologise to the gearbox in the hope that the synchros don't destroy themselves in revenge, lol Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi Lance....welcome to the Forum If it were me, I would jetwash the old engine oil off and see if the leak is there afterwards. If it was a drain plug it could be 'weeping oil' but it is also worth checking the fluid level to be on the safe side. Cheers Trevor
  12. I believe there are several manuals available in the USA but should be relevant to the UK market
  13. Hi Jim...welcome to the Forum Not sure why they are not working but they would not be linked and you may have an independent issue with each system. Fuses are my first thought. Generally the CRV electrical system is bulletproof and not known for faults Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  14. I'm surprised about the rod out of the block as normally these engines are bulletproof. I believe the CDTi engine is standard across the range....so any 2.2 CDTi engine should fit in your car.
  15. We're in the process of updating the Forum so will see what we can do to get this up and running. Thanks for your input
  16. Hi...and welcome to the Forum A fellow Mechanic...good to have you onboard! Honda's are great cars, in comparison to other makes but they still have their issues. Not sure about the VSA fault as I've never personally experienced it....but have you had any problems with clutch slipping yet? Cheers Trevor
  17. HI Matt An engine swap should be straight forward enough as auxiliary equipment should be transferred across therefore no recoding I would imagine. Unusual for a cam chain to go on a Honda...Nissan on the other hand... Let us know how you get on with it. Regards Trevor

  19. I recently purchased my CR-V and shortly afterwards it developed a fault with the Air Cond (green light flashing on AC control panel) and the Engine Management System warning lamp illuminated. A quick search on the internet for known faults and found one pointing to the AC relay. Once located in the fusebox, it was instantly noticeable that it was defective (rattling noise from within the relay when shaken). A search on eBay and a cheap relay from China was sourced for around £3 and then fitted into the fusebox. The system did not fire up straight away...had to clear out the Engine Management fault (AC compressor not working) with a scanner. The next step to getting it to run was to reset the AC/climate control panel by following the procedure listed below:Turn the ignition switch OFF. Turn the fan switch OFF, the temperature control dial on Max Cool and the mode control dial on Vent. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), then press and hold the recirculation control switch. Within 10 seconds while holding the switch down, press the rear window defogger switch five times. The recirculation indicator blinks two times, then the self-diagnosis will begin. If there is any problem in the system after self-diagnosis is finished, the recirculation indicator will blink the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 7 through 13 when problems in the evaporator temperature sensor circuit are detected (codes 14 and 15), the A/C indicator will blink the DTC. If no DTC's are found, the indicator will not blink. This then reset the AC system and the compressor kicked back into life. Thought this may benefit other members that have this problem....certainly a cheap fix!

  21. So what do you think of the new NSX? http://www.honda.co.uk/cars/new/nsx-2017/overview.html
  22. We value your opinion - use your knowledge to help others when buying a car like yours and review your Honda now on Drivn.co.uk http://www.drivn.co.uk/
  23. Hi all, I thought I would kick-start this Forum into life again...hence the reason for this post. Who's out there? Where you from? What model Honda do you drive? Would be great to hear back from anyone who would like to chat 'Honda' Cheers, Trevor - Admin (2007 CR-V 2.2 cdti)
