Jennifer Burden Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Hi, I have this whistling noise when I change gear and lift my foot off the peddle can anybody advise.
Trevor Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Hi Jennifer...welcome to the Forum Which year and engine is your CRV? Quite possibly it could be a split turbo hose or vacuum leak but depends on whether it's a petrol or diesel engine. Let me know the year and engine and I may be able to help further. Cheers, Trevor
Jennifer Burden Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 Hi Trevor, thanks for your reply. I have been to see my local Honda Dealer and he took it for a test drive. Found out its all down to the clutch pedal and something else ( sorry can't remember the term he used now) anyway it's going in to be sorted out. I must say that the Honda chap was really helpful.
Trevor Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Sounds like the release bearing which is usually worn by resting a foot on the clutch pedal when driving...takes up the working clearance and after a while you get a whistling noise when changing gear. Hope it gets sorted at a reasonable price.
