Arfan Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Hiya, I've had this Honda Civic for 4 years and it's been a great car up until now. It has oil in the coolant, shown a mechanic and been told the headgasket is no good as the vehicle overheats. I mean the car only has 38k miles with a full service history. It's not even 6 years old yet and such a massive engine fault. What procedure do you think I can take as I don't have 1000's of pound to spend on a new engine. I'm hoping Honda could do it under goodswill. Any help will be appreciated.
Trevor Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I would definitely take the car to the dealer to get a second opinion as 'mayo' under the cap can be caused by condensation from short trips. There are other tests to determine the head gasket is actually failing.
