Hey Everyone, I’m a new happy owner of a Civic; I’m loving what I’ve heard in terms of reliability and power, and of course the looks.

 

I was wondering what peoples’ experiences are with manufacturer’s service plans (FIVE - currently £650) & extended warranty (£350 if I take it before handover). Is it worth it? Is it better to go with a 3rd party plan / warranty?

 

The car is intended as a family car, not going to be used heavily (no long trips or significant commuting more than 1x every 1-2 weeks).

I think I would take the manufacturer's service and warranty as it is specifically geared to the car as opposed to a global warranty which would probably be devoid of certain covered items
