On two occasions recently I have put the accelerator down and nothing seemed to happen. Then it picks up after about 5 seconds. Is this a fault I should report?

Honda Jazz 1.3 I-VTEC EX NAVI Petrol CVT 5Dr Hatch.

Advice appreciated.

What year is the car?

It could be an issue with the transmission rather than the engine.
Would be worth getting it checked at Honda as it could get worse and leave in an awkward position while driving

I took it in and all they did was install a s/w update. Hope that cures the problem as the guarantee runs out August.

I am going to get the service done late July to pick up any problems prior to that.

I posted a similar problem on my 2017 manual gearbox Jazz, Navi, intermittent since new. Dealers could not identify cause; power loss lasts a few seconds or minutes. Tickover always OK. Will change the fuel filter at next service to see if that cures problem.

Yep, the s/w update did seem to work. Thanks all.
