Service for approved used car

2 months ago, I bought an approved used car Honda Civic 2018 diesel as my first car.

 

As it comes with 12 months hondacare guarantee and car assistance, I think I only need to take care the maintenance after a year.

 

But I just received an email from the sales dealer that the service is due soon...??

 

Does it mean I need to drive the car to the dealer for checking? Or can I have service from nearby Honda dealer (as the dealer sold the car is in other town)?

I would argue this if it is the case as the vehicle should have been checked over before sale
