Hello all,

Just got back from a failed MOT and I need to sort the Drivers side Mirror indicator.

It was cracked and was an advisory for years but now it has packed in.

 

Am I right in thinking its not a bulb but a sealed unit like my mk8 civic was?

 

Local motor factors cant help but Honda want £100 for an indicator 😞

 

Cant seem to find any replacements anywhere.

 

Any advice appreciated. I fear it may be a complete unit off eBay if I cant just get the "flashing" bit 🙂

Took the old mirror off. Tried to open it to see if it was easy to fit the new blinker unit but its not as simple as my MK8 Civic was.

So I have bought a used mirror from eBay. Cross fingers that will help get the MOT sorted.

 

So if anyone is interested. Tell Honda to stuff the £100 blinker unit and just get a scrap motorised mirror.

Always like to find a bargain and secondhand it fine for things like indicators and light units, maybe not steering, brakes or suspension though 🙂
