I have a 2013 CRV which has the 3 video connection sockets in the centre console (red, white and yellow). I take it this means I can play videos through the screen?  

 

I have connected a video cable to my phone but nothing happens.  Any suggestions and if it's actually compatible?

I know that with some video connections to your phone the car needs to either have the engine off or at least the handbrake on for the system to know the vehicle is stationary.

Also the phone may have a setting to know that you are in a car but wanting to watch video but doesn't know you're not the driver so look at these settings first
