Has anyone replaced/cleaned the EGR valve on the 2.2 DTEC engine? It looks like an absolute **** of a job. Can it be done from the top or does the exhaust need to come off? Its a rusty mess that will end up with sheared bolts if I even look at them the wrong way!

Can you not use some specialist cleaning solutions....have used them in the past and then followed it with an Italian Tune-Up which usually does the job

Halfords do a good range of EGR cleaners to try and see how you get on

I think its beyond using a cleaner. Its stuck open. I thought about mapping it out but I will still need to remove it to fit a blank plate
