Hello all earlier on today I hit a pothole whilst out in my honda accord, it made an almighty bang i slowed down went to change gear and it wouldn't allow me to it will just stay in neutral not allowing me to change gear. I can change gear when the ignition is off no problem, which points to a clutch problem I know. What I'm wondering is has anyone ever known of a pothole impact to actually cause damage to the clutch? I can't go to the garage until Tuesday just trying to diagnose up until then. I've had a look there's no leaks from the slave cylinder but noticed it does squeek alot when clutch pedal is pressed. The car is a Honda accord 2.2 diesel Type S and the clutch was changed 47,000 miles ago for reference. Thankyou

I wonder if an engine or transmission mount has broken and caused the clutch travel to be affected?
