My 2005 Tourer 2.2 developed a fault while driving, lost all power as if the turbo had failed, and the glow plug light kept intermittently flashing. ODB said P1237 lack of boost?Anyway my decent local garge pluggged in their fancy ODB and said it seems like air mass flow sensor, which was a cheap and easy replacement, and a new air filter. The car now drives better, but seems to hit a wall at 3k, however with the air filter out it will rev all the way to the redline. It is not giving any fault codes now. Any ideas? Same problem with old filter too. Tried all pipes, no leaks, splits or fit issues. We have replaced air mass flow sensor, map sensor, cleaned egr, checke…

I'd really like to buy and install the modification kit that'll allow my folding mirrors to fold off the key (or auto-fold when the ignition key is turned on/off) - all rather than relying on remembering to press the fold-button on the door. I know these kits used to exist (once upon a time), but am having a really hard time finding one now (in 2022). Can anybody help? My car's a 2006 Honda Accord 7th Gen (2.4 Petrol). Many thanks.

Hi all, 2005 accord 2.4 auto exec tourer, electric lift tailgate, in warm weather off key fob - tailgate works perfectly ! in cold weather opens up fine off key fob button - raises to fully open, beeps then closes again ???? I gather from this that the lifting mechanics/hydraulics are fine - I have seen on the "lings honda" website there is listed a "ambient sensor" I presume this is some kind of temperature sensor ? which is mounted above the roof lining near the rear roof of the car according to the parts list - it has been like this for around 2 years or so - its about time I got round to fixing it !! Warm weather = perfect -- Cold weather = Faulty !! Any help o…

Good morning all. After parting with one thousand of the queen's pounds I am now the proud owner of a 2006 Honda Accord tourer. Its a 2.2 diesel and I'm very pleased with it for the money. I have a range of questions, the two most important being- 1. Where can I get a second key cut? Local to Berkshire if possible. 2. This is a tough one and lots of online searching has proved fruitless (hence signing up here) - I have the GPS touch screen radio. I would desperately love yo update it for something large and with android auto. Does such a swap exist? All the examples I have seen online specifically say that only…

Our '04 Accord Tourer has taken to stalling when cold, though the symptoms are odd. It starts on the button, idles, allows drive to be selected and then often stalls when halted, typically at a junction, and then prior to/just as one is trying to pull out. It then re-starts fairly happily, though not always. Our local man cleaned the inlet duct and found and replaced a faulty coolant temperature sensor, but the problem persists. The inlet duct has been smoke checked for leaks and found to be in order. The only hint so far is that the car has clearly not had a full service for some time, and live monitoring suggests some misfiring. A deep service is…

Hi all. I have an 08 Honda Accord. The fob isn’t working so I replaced the battery and it still isn’t working. I can open the car manually alarm goes off unless I disable with the unlock/lock/unlock combo. However the alarm will go off when I start the car. What I am wondering is am I better getting a new key and will this sort the alarm issue or do I need to get the alarm issue sorted

Power steering leak Metal Hose/Tube Honda Accord 2.0. I have whining noise, check with my garage - Power Steering pump, although he top up fluid and no noise anymore. Unfortunately this lasted few days only. So back to garage today. Get car on lift - couldn't find any leak, no on pump, no on racks. Finally leak was detected on metal pipe (tube) mounted before radiator. Photo attached. How to find OEM number for this part. Couldn't even find a proper name of this part.

Hi all, I have an irritating fault from my 2005 accord 2.0L. cruising on the motorway if I take my foot off the throttle the rest my foot back on it will lurch a little. As soon as I'm past that acceleration is smooth and so is cruising. It also does it slightly on pull away but it does seem to be the first few mil of peddle travel. Would anyone know what could be causing this. There are no error codes or fault lights. I've not owned the car long so I don't know if it's a fault or just the way accords are Many thanks Tony

Hi guys I joined over a year ago when i bought my 08 2.2 EX, it's been a dream and this is the first issue it's had. yesterday morning i started the engine and heard a horrible scratchy sound upon start-up. it dies down after a minute. the car runs perfect, still. i've had it diagnosed as a broken AC pulley, the one at the bottom of the engine. my question is this, when i replace the ac compressor, is it wise to also replace the serpentine / fan belt too. my belt seems fine but my mechanic advised to do it anyway. #accord #ac #pulley

So I just got the car and it’s great but I noticed the aux button is useless as their is no actual aux port... I would rather have Bluetooth anyway and have found a few adapters online that plug into the back of the stock radio but I’m not sure what to go for, does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks

Hi all, having a hard time trying to track down a service manual (book form, not online) for the accord ictdi. I know Heynes don't do this model, does anyone know of Amy other? I've always found a manual for my previous cars, but it seems this model was not popular enough to make one... Closest I've found is for the Acura tsx...

Hello, I’ve seen an ‘06 diesel accord with over 200k miles for a few hundred quid. Is it worth getting just as a daily commute till it dies, or is it going to have a ton of issues at that age/mileage? MOT is valid til July. Thanks in advance

Hi all 2005 Mk7 2.4 auto exec. can I swap/change my version 2.XX DVD unit for a later 3.XX unit from a late 2007 Accord ? The physical size is the same as is the mounting - but the wiring/plugs are not ! the newer unit has more plugs - I am sure it can be done 🙂 (says me who does not have a clue) obviously the wiring would have to be altered (and I don`t need voice operated) but would any other parts need to be changed, the signal receiver for instance ! I could buy a 2.11 update disc from Honda for around £150 (which I feel is a scandal) that would only take it to 2011 at best, still way out of date ! I have a TomTom anyway which is superb anyway AND of course a mo…
