Hi did start a DPF thread on the Accord forum but guessing it probably applies to more than one vehicle in their range. But as I did not get a reply tried to hunt around the net but came up blank so put a complaint into Honda. Did get too escalations but not much joy help wise but thought I would share their reply and my take on it. Probably do this in two parts. first up an overview then tomorrow will try and clarify how the first stage DPF regen works as that really threw me. forgive me if I mess up with any images. Honda’s position on their diesel cars is:- “Please be advised that the Diesel Particulate Filter is an exhaust component which…

Hi, wonder if anyone has successfully installed an isofix car seat on the rear central isofix points and still been able to use the passenger side seatbelt?! I've installed the seat no problem but now the seatbelt plug is impossible to reach, despite the seat being listed as compatible with this position. Thanks!

Hello. I am looking to sell my beloved Honda Accord due to the new ULEZ rules. It is a great car and has been with me and my family since new. It has low mileage and has been looked after. It's never broken down. It would be good to see it go to a 'good home' even though I need to give it up. Does anyone know where best I can sell it or advertise it?

I am going to register my FR-V (currently UK reg, 2006 car) in France. Therefore I need to change the dipped beam, which in most cars means changing the whole headlamp. I am really struggling to find any LHD headlight unitss, at a price which is anything like sensible, so I just wanted to check if anyone had had any experience of adapting the existing RHD headlamps ? There's no hidden adaptor (BMW style), or work-around??? Changing them to Xenon seems to be illegal and doesn't create a decent, sharp light pattern which the French Controle Technique looks for. My question sounds a bit daft, but I have to ask.. I have been looking for used (or even new) h…

Hi All If anyone is looking for a really good Body Repair Specialist in the Dorset Area, I can thoroughly recommend Simon whose number is 07873-479616 , He has repaired a few dents and scrapes on my Night Hawk Black CRV and is a true professional , I have always been more than pleased with the finish of the work he has done on my car . Nice Guy , good prices and I'm sure he will give you excellent results as he has done so for me., Sometimes its a good idea to pass a recommendation on to others who may be looking for work to be done on their vehicle. Best Regards BAZZER RN 1

Hi I have a 2009 CRV ES1-CTDi and want to upgrade the Sat Nav Radio CD unit to one that has Blue Tooth hands free capability. Can anyone recommend a reliable source with reasonable prices.I have looked on e-bay but the only one I can see is nearly £600 and it doesn't give any dimensions so not sure it would fit the dash board. Any help appreciated. Tony

The Average Family Car. Research commissioned by Honda in line with the launch of the all-new HR-V e:HEV The average car will see 30 day trips, 2,496 songs played - and 24 spillages in the typical year. A study of 2,000 motorists revealed the average vehicle will cover off 62 miles per week – that’s 3,224 annually – and see three bouts of car sickness while doing so. My 2005 CRV had a new clutch fitted at the start of this year before that and after when the weather is dry the clutch often becomes squeaky in wet it it never happen so recently I've been spraying WD40 though the gap behind the front wheels and to date it's seems to have done the trick! Could this have lubricated the problem I don't know but fingers crossed 😏

I posted this in the HR-V forum, so I hope it’s ok to post here as well - not sure if this is covered in another thread - forgive me if it has already been discussed. Has anyone else experienced the tyre deflation warning coming on even though there is nothing wrong with the tyre pressures? I have to initialise the system each and every journey. It has got worse, too over the months and I doubted myself so I got the tyres checked - but they are fine. Is it possible to replace the sensor (wherever it is) or even disable the function altogether as it is not particularly useful even when working properly. I drive an HR-V EX CVT ‘67 plate …

I bought a new ENY1 in March 2024. I knew that the total miles at 100% was rubbish (about 250) but I didn't expect my surprise on the first cold day today I charged it overnight last night when the air temperature was -3 deg C. When I started the car this morning it said 100% charged. It also said 138 miles to empty I rang the Honda garage where I bought it from and they said I could expect a drop in cold weather as it didn't have a heat converter Can this be correct.? They did offer to have a look at to see if the computer needed a memory dump etc Thanks everyone Philip

Nearly 50% of all cars that fail an MOT do so because of small faults that could be avoided by simple, at-home car maintenance. These problems are easy to correct, and fixing them before taking the car in for its MOT could help you pass first time and avoid garage costs. To help, Ring, the automotive specialist in bulbs, wipers, battery care and tyre care, has some advice on the simple things that can be done to avoid an MOT fail. Lights and signalling – 17.8% failure rate 4.5m cars fail because of lamps, reflectors and electrics every year. Hi Members, its a long Shot probably, but does any Member know which Tyres can offer a comfortable ride on my 4 X 4 1997cc CRV Exec , Not lookinking at Michelin or the expensive makes , maybe a middle range price tyre, with our roads in such a shocking state, I thought a softer make of tyre would give a more pleasant comfortable ride. All replies would be appreciated Many Thanks BAZZER RN 1

I was recently contacted by a music producer, who heard I had a few Skylines. They wished to use one on an upcoming Music video they were filming for an upcoming artist called 'Ragz Originale' Shameless Selfie ! It was a fun couple of days up in a London Studio, lots of special effects. I have noooo idea what the end video is going to look like, as each seat was filmed out of order ! Very excited to see the end result. Some special effects and lighting added to the car for a more futuristic look. Music video will be out end of March 2018 ish, we are really excited Loads more photos of the Ragz Originale …
