Excuse this tech question in 'general' but the answer could come from any model... Is there any way to fit a CVT transmission to a B20B engine? I hate the auto in my 96 Stepwagon and I love CVTs!

Honda has marked 25 years of hybrid performance with the European debut of the Prelude Concept and confirmation that the production model will return to the region ahead of its first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 11-14 July. Following the concept model’s reveal at the Japan Mobility Show last year, Prelude is set to deliver the perfect balance of exhilarating driving pleasure and outstanding efficiency – embodying Honda’s long-term commitment to electrification in a stylish and dynamic package. The original Prelude made its European debut 45 years ago and served as a thrilling, high-performance showcase of Honda’s cutting-edge technol…

My 2021 CR-V went into Brayley’s Honda, Ewell on 17 December 2024 and they identified the problem as the Brake Pedal Simulator. The part was ordered on 18 December, none were available in the UK so the part was put on ‘back order’ and finally arrived from Japan on 14 March. With the repair completed, I got the car back on 19 March 2025 after 92-days! Have to say that Brayley’s, who thought I qualified for a complementary hire car were pretty good but Honda UK were awful. They said that I was not entitled to a hire car as my vehicle was out of warranty even though the repair was being fixed as a ‘warranty’ repair and Honda were picking up the full cost of the part and …

Good evening fellow Hondeers. I am currently broken hearted at the discovery of a circular scratch on the front passenger door after only 2 weeks of owning my beautiful CR-V. I was recommended Meguairs Scratch X 2.0 at my local Halfords as I can't feel the scratch with my fingernail. I'm afraid of permanently damaging the paintwork though. Does anyone have any experience of using this? It cost a tenner but I'll bin it if I have to. A local body shop said I'd be looking at about £120 which I think is a bit steep! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hi so I have two remote fobs for a 2009 Honda Civic and they are beginning to not work very well. You have to press loads of times for the thing to lock or unlock. I have obviously cleaned the connections and changed the batteries, but they must be 16 years old.....so they are wearing out. so my question is this, can you replace the fobs 3rd party without having to pay the million pound to Honda? I noticed Amazon selling the shell to these fobs, but they have like 3 star ratings so I dont trust them. The keys still work in the doors, but would prefer the fobs to work thanks

Hi All I live in Spain and we have a Mk1 CRV with 285,000km on the clock. Its Automatic and seems to work okay... although I am not 100% confident with it yet. Its had a major service and the head gasket done, along with cambelt and fan bets etc. I notice the revs go quite low at times when at idle and sometimes it feels like it is holding back, I am convinced there are a few sensors that are on their way out but as yet it is not showing any fault codes. In January I need to drive the car back to England and then back to Spain, in all about 3000 miles. Ive done the drive many times in old transit vans and land rovers but never in anything as n…

Honda Motor Co. is changing its working hours at its Hamamatsu factory in central Japan for safety reasons. A bit better than Toyota closing 11 of its factories but still devastating. Typhoon is really taking its toll.

Anyone know where I can obtain a matt black cover to prevent sunshine glare from the shiny dash reflecting glare on the windscreen? Also, do Honda offer an aftrrmarket catalytic conveter protection cage? I gather Honda cars are espeiecially prone to having their cats stolen... or maybe a specialist company alternative supplier?

Cast your eyes upon the all-new 2012 Honda Insight. Ok, it looks almost the same but there are some very important changes making this Frankfurt Motor Show release something to get excited about - providing you like eco-driving and being very friendly to the environment. In principle it is the same 5-door hatchback as the outgoing model. It produces 96g/km some 5 fewer than the current model, and although no official figures have yet been released, the MPG figure is expected to rise above the 64.2 we've been getting used to. A number of methods have been employed in order to produce these squirrel friendly results. The CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) has been m…

Hey fellas, nice to meet you all. So, I'm having a bit of an issue here and would like to have the opinion of all of you. If anyone owns a CB125R please do help me with this. For the past few days I have been trying to register my new Bike, my issue is, the model as per Honda website is CB 125 R, but, that is not true. When I checked the documents that I have received from Honda it states as CBF 125 NA. The issue is, when filling up the model in any website or by phone, the only models they have are CBF 125 N Abs (13bhp) or CB 125 R (13bhp). Not only there is a difference of model there but also the price for the premium. For the CB 125 R - 5…

Honda is celebrating 50 years of the Civic model, and has curated new research to celebrate some of the most iconic cultural movements of the past five decades since the car first went on sale. The list was commissioned by Honda and Dr Ruth Adams, Senior Lecturer in Cultural & Creative Industries at King’s College London, to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Civic, which launched on July 12, 1972 and has gone on to sell over 27.5 million units worldwide, with order books for the 11th generation hybrid model opening today (July 12). London’s first Gay Pride march and the release of David Bowie’s iconic ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the…
