Please watch out for a factory defect of the 1.6 I-DTEC 120 HP and 160 HP cylinder head. The manufacturer, despite the knowledge of this defect in 2018, has not done anything since then to call the car for service and check if this defect applies to your car. Only when the user on the website says that the engine is too loud, they will take care of it. Of course, if the car is still under warranty. In the attachment, the beginning of the service bulletin, which lists which cars may be related to this defect. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i49ZwXWoLulv85-xO4-68sCM3p3A75K2/view?usp=drivesdk

Hi,first post here after owning an FRV for 7 years. All of a sudden when trying to open the door with fob the locks click open and shut again within a second. If quick enough you can open the door if timed right but that's it and the rest of the car stays shut, even locking you in the car until forcing the little lock part towards door to get out. Any ideas what the problem is? It did stop for a day or two then came back again

I hope this post is allowed here. Just wondering if anyone else is missing the H-Tune forums (which formerly had several different names). There was a wealth of technical information posted on there especially for some of the more rare models and I haven't found any other site that has quite the same level of engagement, community or information. Any ideas if it is likely to make a comeback or any other sites with similar levels of technical information on the less common models? Thanks!

UK line-up is now petrol, hybrid and pure-electric only but plans have also been brought forward to phase out petrol Diesel-fuelled Hondas have been withdrawn from UK sale with the last vehicles expected to be out of dealerships within a few weeks. The Japanese carmaker is the biggest VM yet to axe diesel power in Britain. It will also bring forward plans to phase out pure petrol cars by the end of 2022, rather than 2025 as previously suggested. A Honda spokesman: “Honda has accelerated its plans for all its European mainstream car models to be electrified from 2025 to 2022 and our motor petrol hybrid technology will play a key rol…

Can anyone tell me if the spare wheel well will hold a standard road wheel as I am interested in buying a 2012 Jazz which is up north and it does not come with a spare instead a pump and a can of sealant from new they say,as I intend to do a bit of mileage and would prefer the old fashion spare and would like it to fit in the well and not be too high. Thanks in advance AJ

Hi all! I have a 2007 Honda Civic Type S, which up until recently has been incredibly reliable! However it has developed an issue with a loud high pitched almost grinding noise when going around bends. This noise is very intermittent and seems to depend on the force of the bend. It does however happen every time without fail on reverse. My father, who is very handy has had a look and is stumped. It has also been into a garage for a quick look and they cannot see anything wrong. Typically they took it for a quick test drive and it didn’t make the noise. I understand the 2007 civics are electrical power steering. My father can see a pipe in the engine which is stumping…

Hi, does anybody body know if there’s a way to reprogramme a 2nd remote fob to a 2005 FRV? i already have one working key & fob. Have ordered a 2nd hand fob as a spare. i know with some other brands there’s a sequence of events where you can programme another fob (providing ECU will accept Nth fob) by using an existing key whilst in ignition. Don’t need to tap into ECU/OBD

Hi I am looking to buy a stylish coupe/sports for under £5k and one of the cars that popped up was the CRZ. I have seen a few under £5k with mileages varying from 70 to 110k Are they a safe used buy or do I have to budget for potentially big bills. I have no idea about costs of running hybrids never mind CRZ's Cheers

Hi, looking for some advice/suggestions regarding transmission power loss. I have a 2008 2.2 cdti 6MT car which is due to have front struts & drop links replaced, however after just completing a 400 mile round trip, I became aware of a potentially more serious issue which may nullify the suspension fixes. The car seems to struggle, I can shift gears without issue but depressing the accelerator while raising the engine revs does not seem to translate to increased acceleration. Also noted that when the car encountered a change in load ( eg going up a hill ) , depressing the accelerator pedal, I can hear the engine revving but the car seems to struggle - it eventually ge…

Hello all you Honda lovers out there. My beautiful Civic was stolen from what I thought was a quiet, safe place to park it. I was wrong. Last week my car was taken, because apparently it has become a sought after collector’s car and worth some money. I bought it 28 years ago and it was my pride and joy so I’m choked. If anyone out there sees a new to the area Electric Blue Civic Esi Reg. L767 FMO please will you let me know, although I realise it may have new plates and and chassis no. by now, or may even be on a boat to China so I’m told, But I have to try because the police have shown no interest at all, and this is my chance. Thank you for reading. All…

Hi Guys. New to the forum. I have a civic 1.6se 5 door 2005. generation 7. Bought it at 5 years old 16k miles as someone wrote my mk 6 saloon off at 149k miles.... rear end smack!. its' 15 years old now and only 40k on it now. About 3 years ago I noticed I had to correct the steering on the motorway .. would veer slightly to the right. Had tracking done. no change. It was laid up for while on and off... because I was! Had to get a jump start, eps light came on but the mechanic cleared it all okay. but since then the steering became worse, cornering left was nightmare.....i had several alignments. 3 separate garages said it was the steering rack, except…

Hi. I a new member. Just changed my wife's great but ageing 2.0 Civic Sport for a 2006 Jazz which has the N/S door mirror hanging off. The stumpy bit is still attached to the door by 3 10mm nuts but the mirror housing itself has some broken fragments of plastic round the bottom, held in with 3 small screws, and the whole lot appears to have been held together with a large amount of black caulk. I can't see any pictures on line of what it should look like to start a repair so wonder if anyone can help please. Otherwise I'll have to dismantle the O/S mirror to see what is inside it and I 'd prefer not to have to do that in case it is fragile and goes the same way as the ot…

Getting my car through the MOT is always is a bit of a trial. It takes ages to get the car engine/exhaust warm enough to pass the emissions test . I always use super 97 fuel with Redex and whilst the car really drives well it still takes a while to get it hot. The car is an import (2005) so is there any engine management change I can make or is it a case of a decoke or something else ? Thanks John C
