CR-V 2001 to 2006

Hello all, new to this forum after failing to find the Honda Karma UK forum. Does anybody know what has happened to it ?

Hi guys. I hope someone can help. My wife's youngest son has a CRV 2005 2.0l petrol. When wiring a 7 pin trailer plug up he got indicators & tail light mixed up. He corrected his mistake but ever since his car indicators are flashing fast & very dim. All bulbs are the correct wattage and all ok, earth's are fine as well. He has changed the indicator relay as well. We are stumped. Any ideas as to what is wrong would be much appreciated. Ps. Hazards all work fine. Tia. Shaun.

We currently have a 2003 golf but we will soon have 3 dogs instead of 1 , two of which labrador size we want to stand/sit in the boot hence looking at a CRV As its to be shared and probably only do about 5000 miles a year we have decided on a auto petrol and we dont really want to send more than £3000 I know its like asking how long is piece of string but is this model version a safe bet for reliability , maintenance etc There are quite a few on autotrader but I know if we buy the wrong one it could cost loads...

I need new tyres, what are the best for long life, at the moment i have Bridgestone Duelers fitted. Also the nearside rear tyre is wearing on the outside edge, i would appreciate some thoughts on this.

2005 diesel hesitating faltering at just under 2000 revs. Most noticeable in 4 th to 6th gear in flat or downhill. Fuel injectors checked two replaced. New fuel filter and fuel rack too. Problem not solved. Can anybody help/advise

Hi guys (and gals). A familiar tale that I suspect has had many posts. My wife’s much loved battered 2003 run around, bought for £1,000, a veteran of numerous trips to the dump and the only car I will park in a supermarket car park had I think made its last journey. Currently sat on the drive (fortunately) but the key will not turn in the ignition. Prevailing view from local garage and RAC is the lock is buggered and quote for a new lock and assembly is £1,000. I did actually, with a squirt of WD40 get the key to turn and fired up the car. Proudly told my wife that I still had the skills but next morning same problem and this time even WD40 wouldn’t fix it. Hello there, my keyless entry has packed up,no previous signs of trouble, key remote fob ok, press the button, zilch, no noise, flashing lights or anything. I'm hoping it's a fuse, but I need to get the bonnet open from ouside, anyone got any ideas please?

I have a 2006 CRV petrol exec manual with 117,000 miles which has been showing the engine management light after about 20 mins of driving. Fault code is always the knock sensor. I erase the fault with OBD and the light goes out but always comes back on again sometimes after a day and sometimes after 10 mins!! The car is not "pinking" and seems to be running perfectly with no odd engine noises at all even when listened to with a stethoscope. I tried new plugs just in case but didnt fix it. I have so far fitted 2 new aftermarket knock sensors and they fix it for a while but the fault code soon returns. I have even tried disconnecting the sensor but it still lights the engin…

Hi my car is a 2006 2.2 diesel CRV. I keep getting the following fault on my diagnostic unit. I have read this relates to the heater plugs but they are all working well and I can get the fault for several minutes after getting going. After that it stays off until the next time you use it. It puts the car into limp mode so I am presently resetting it every time I use the car which is a pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Very sad to have to let my CRV go. Petrol, manual 2004 125000 milage £350 .The cat was cut out damging the adjoining exhaust parts. Having gone round in circles with the insurers and different mechanics I need to throw the towel in. I don't have the time or space to fix her. She does have front driverside damage to the wheel arch too but mechanically everything is fine. She would need to be towed or put on a trailer. I want to get rid by the end of the week. March the 10th, daytime pickup on Monday and Friday. Or from 6.30 pm any day but Wednesday. Location is Camberwell London.

2006 CR-V 2.2 CTDI EX 115k miles. Ive got some pretty bad noise both at tick-over and driving, only when Clutch Pedal depressed. My recent history is new Master/Slave Cylinders, fluid flush, no change. Suspected DMF/Clutch, so all changed. Problem exactly the same. The DMF/Clutch replaced again on the suspicion of a faulty part. Problem exactly the same. Now the concern has switched to the Gearbox input shaft bearings. Does anyone have any ideas or experience of the possibilities of it being the gearbox? 2006 2.0 petrol auto CRV MK2. Had catalytic converter stolen few weeks ago - have now replaced full exhaust system including both sensors. Car starts and runs fine but 6 seconds after starting get er message for open circuit on the O2 sensor connected to the catalytic converter Have tested output and tried replacing sensor but same problem. Note that original sensor had a blue connector but all replacements seem to have a grey connector and same part number - not sure if this means anything. Auto electrician has suggested that output is only 6 ohms and should be above 10? Thanks for looking - appreciate any thoughts.

Hi all. Just thought I'd comment on access to the oil filter Mk2 2.0 petrol) in case anyone didn't already know! All the guides seem to state that you need to raise the car up to access the filter. We'll, having just changed mine I can tell you that's not necessary. If you point the steering to the right, you can easily reach the filter through the wheel arch. Simple. Next on the list is valve clearances...

Hi I was lucky to buy a used Honda CRV 05 plate about 4 years ago for £1800 with 120k on the clock. I have a good mechanic who has got me through my MOT's and it's been a great car but sadly this last MOT has come up with bad rust under the car and various other serious issues and because of the rust such as brakes and steering on both sides is in danger of collapse, deeming it unworthy of fixing. I live rurally and do drive through a lot of bad surface water due to heavy rains/flooding years round but nothing crazy other than road driving. Hi can anybody help i have a Honda CR-VCTDISPORT 2006 . I HAVE PURCHASED FROM EBAY 2 PARCEL SHELFS BUT WHEN YOU FIX IT TO THE SIDES THEN PULL OUT THE BLIND ITS TWO SHORT TO CLIP IN THE SIDES. I HAVE PURCHASED TWO AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE FOR MY model BUT I HAVE HAD TO SEND BOTH BACK AS THEY DONT FIT. ANYBODY SELLING ONE OR COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT BONE I NEED .

Just bought myself a 2003 CR-v with sat nav & cd system... Usually there is an accessory position on the ignition swith, not on mine though! One turn of the key brings all dash lights on then next turn starts car, also the radio has to be turned off manually, ie there is no position on the ignition switch for accessories, radio, windows etc... Is this normal? Thanks guys

Hiya My rear suspension is appearing to be (it is) sagging on the off side. The whole of the rear suspension seems to be lower than maybe it should be but is noticeably lower on the O/S. I've heard an intermittent clonk which appears to be coming from there over big speed bumps or dismounting a kerb. Rear Shocks? Springs? Ideas on how I could check this? **EDIT - I've just been under the car again and the spring has snapped! Not sure how I missed that!!??!! Cheers Jon

Hallo everyone! I am new here and don't know who is out there! Just bought a nice CRV Sport and everything is fine except the radio seems to be the basic model with no sat nav and if it has a changer other than the interface I have not seen it. For a car registered in 2007 this kit is a bit basic and I wondered if anyone knows of a product from here or China that is a good replacement for this model. Bluetooth and sat nav would be nice but I have a Tom Tom so the latter is less important. Thanks in advance. Julian
