CR-V 2007 to 2011

  1. Started by Sean1969,

I am hoping someone can help me please, I have a 2012 Honda CRV and I have a DPF light with exclamation mark on, RAC said the car has already done a regeneration and doesn’t need a forced regeneration but the computer hasn’t realised and turned the warning light off. Has any one had any experience of this and any solutions. I took it for a DPF diagnostic and they said the light went off but came back on instantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi all, I've have a Honda CRV 2010 and my rear window washer jet is blocked. I've followed the advice of you on this matter by reading up on others that have had the same problems and the suggestions that's been offered. I know the route of the pipes via a picture one of you posted so many thanks however I don't know how to remove the inside plastic panels to get to the pipe or how to take off the inner wheel arches without damaging the clips. Will the Haynes manual auto fix show me how?? I don't want to buy it and find it doesn't help, can any of you good people please let me know 1st ?? Many thanks Ian.

Hi All, Have just brought my first Honda CRV. Got the EX trim as recommended by a friend, and I’m glad I did. However, there’s a couple of issues I’d like some help with. Firstly, I know there’s a common issue with the diffs crystallising and fluid needing replacing, how often do you do this to avoid the problem? Also, the SatNav CD provided does not work (money was taken off for this) and it seems the SatNav CD will not eject from the slot. To be honest I was planning on upgrading to a new android system with DAB anyways, but I’m not sure the best place to look to get a unit. I would love some help with this,…

  4. Hello everyone! I'm trying to trace an oil leak on our 2011 Honda CRV with 375Tkm on the clock. It has been parked in the garage for the last couple of years as my wife upgraded to a newer vehicle, and I've been keeping this one as a backup. Well, it's time to retire my current beater and upgrade to this beauty, so I'll finally have to figure out where the oil is going. 🙂 The engine had been leaking oil for the last little while that she drove it, but it would only leak if the engine was running; hence, it never left any oil spots on the driveway. A shop told me it was the oil pan gasket, but I think it is coming from somewhere higher. It looks lik…

Hello, I have a 2011 CRV 4WD with 140,000 miles. Last year, I noticed a delay when shifting into second gear, and it became jerky. I took it to a mechanic who replaced the transmission fluid, but the issue actually got worse. He then replaced the solenoid, which seemed to help for a few months. After another visit to the mechanic, the diagnostic test indicated an issue, so I ordered new solenoids and had them all replaced. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. Currently, it struggles to shift into second gear. When it does manage to engage, accelerating causes the engine to rev up, and it slips back out of gear.

Hi all sorry to ask another question but we have a leak under the car every time we use the fan in the car on air con or not and there is a pool of liquid under the car when we have parked up. I have checked all the fluids that I can and taken the car to the garage but he cant see anything. I thought it might be a leaking air con but it also happens with just the blower on. Thank you again for any advice.

Just got my first Honda last week, it's not new and looks a bit tired in places. I had a look online if people spruce them up at all and add some personal touches but have found an absolute nada. I've got more of a Ford background and my Fiesta ST had a lot of nice interior and exterior mods done to make it my own but Honda community seems to be more conservative. Is there anyone here that has done any modifications to their car to make them, well, more noticeable? I don't necessarily mean in Hot Rod style but so that I can find my car in the car park more like...

We love our cr-v so much that after a crash where the extent of bonnet and front end damage vs book value meant a write off I accepted a lower cash offer from insurers and our Honda back home. Now to buy used replacement body parts (some good deals going)and a body shop willing to do the work located. Anyone experienced this? Any body shops recommended? All info gratefully accepted.

I’ve built a double bed base for a 2008 Honda CRV. I only used it twice (I run D of E courses) before the car was sadly written off (without the bed in it). It’s really good quality, comes in two pieces and along with a tailgate tent, makes for a brilliant simple camper conversion. It cost me about £200 to build. I don’t really want anything for it, but I’d like it to go to someone that will use it and benefit from it. I’ve got photos, so please email me for pics if you are interested. I’m based in East Sussex.

As previously mentioned, I bought a 2010 CR-V awd auto with 57,000 mileage several months ago. Happy with it except for excessive road noise. When I look down in the engine bay, past the engine I expected to see some sort of under body tray which would hopefully lessen the noise but I can see straight down to the road. So I wondered whether at some previous service a tray or cover(s?) had been left off by accident. Or does it fact not need one? If one is needed I would be very grateful for the correct part description. Many thanks for any advice you can give me. Brian Pfeiffer

Hi, I have the above error code on my 2009 honda crv. It says it's the 2nd clutch pressure switch fault. Has anyone experienced this fault before? If so is it an easy fix? Does anyone know the part number for the switch and where it's located and how to get access please. Thank you.

  18. 2010 Honda CR-V Auto Whilst the rear sensors are very loud, the front resemble the squeak of a dying mouse. Honda said that both sounds are made by the same unit and a replacement unit will cost over £350. Any ideas for amplifying the front sensors? Thanks in anticipation Brian Pfeiffer

  19. Hello all, I have a Honda CR-V EX i-VTEC automatic, model year 2007. Last month, my car failed to start when I turned on the engine. It seems the battery had a dead cell and was replaced under warranty. A week later, the car failed to start again! I called RAC, who conducted a battery test and found no issues. They jump-started the car for me, and I was able to take it to the garage, where they confirmed that the battery is healthy and did not show any drops. This morning, my car failed to start once more (Second time since changing battery). It has been 9 days since RAC jump-started it, and my new battery is flat. When I turn off the car, …

The spark plugs on my 2007 CRV EX need replacing. However, on my engine, the coil packs are on the front of the engine and not under a cover like many of those I’ve seen online. The coil packs are secured with a nut the screws onto a stud that protrudes through the coil pack but the nuts and the securing stud are so badly rusted away (we live near the sea) that I can’t get the nuts off and so can’t remove the coil packs. I’m worried that I might break the stud that the coil pack securing but screws onto, and I’ve not been able to find replacements online. Can anyone help by providing a part number, or a link to where I can buy some replacement studs that coil pack securin…

  22. The garage has just checked a leak in my power steering and informed me that he cant get the parts due to the age of my vehicle. He suggested I use Google or ask on a forum, so here I am! Can anyone suggest a supplier? It’s a Honda CRV 2007 diesel, I’ve tried Google but I’m not sure what I’m looking for. The mechanic said it was the steel power steering pipes that feed the steering rack which have corroded. Is there anyone on here who could offer some advice? I’m wondering if it’s time to go car shopping but I love my Honda! Thanks in advance

I find it quite dfficult to check the level in the coolant reservoir of my 2005 CRV. The reservoir is buff coloured and I'm never sure i'm seeing the level the best I have found is hold a short stick on the outside - bottom to the top mark, then hold the stick in the reservoir and see how far up the coolant comes - must be a better way??? please anyone
