Does anyone have any idea how much a blue Honda 2011 CR-V EX with just under 50 000 miles would have cost in Dec 2020/Jan 2021? Work that needed to be done on it: needed MOT, dud battery replacing, needed 4 new tyres, tracking adjusting, new front brake pads and disks, parking sensor to be replaced, headlight washer bottle replacement. The rear diff was making the usual juddering on full lock from contamination, so needed a full 3 litre drain, flush, fill, drive repeat etc. Body work was relatively good with a few chips that had turned rusty, a bit dog hairy inside (including a nice fluffy cabin filter!), but not excessive. I did a full service on it…

  5. Hi, We own a 2009 Honda Crv EX 2.2 diesel car for a year now. A couple of months back we've noticed the car battery went dead twice on us so we decided to invest in a new one. To our surprise 2 weeks later the new one went dead too! So we swapped the old battery (thankfully didn't get rid of it!) and charged up the new one (also double checking nothing had been left on inside the car). After 3 days when opening the car door, I strangely saw the sat Nav fascia was stuck half open (like it had a power surge) and low and behold, battery dead again. All becoming a bit like groundhog day now, so decided to get it booked in with the mechanics for the following week. Meanw…

  6. does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes o/s front wishbone with a bracket to attach rod for self leveling switch(zenon lights).plenty without the bracket at reasonable cost.Only managed to find genuine HONDA wishbone which has the bracket at a cost of £730.Alternatively is it possible to get old one re -bushed or perhaps improvise a bracket, though as i understand its not a good idea or legal to weld small bracket.Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I left the lights on on my 2006 CRV petrol manual and flattened the battery. I took the battery out and recharged it. On reconnecting the battery the alarm went off almost continuously but didnt go off when I plipped the key fob and in fact nothing seemed to turn the alarm off, manual locking and unlocking doors, operating central locking manually or by key fob etc and the alarm carried on going for 20 mins or so. I could start and drive the car so the immobiliser wasnt acting. The alarm would then stop and restart every 10 mins or so untill I disconnected the battery. on reconnecting the alarm would go off at random times even whilst driving?? It has settled down a bit …

Hello all. I have a question that is causing me problems. My 2007 Honda crv 2.2cdti is not holding charge. I can take it on a long run during the day and the next morning it wont start. I then charge the battery for around 10 mins and all OK again. I have had the battery and alternator checked and they are both in great condition but something is draining the battery. Please can anyone suggest what it might be. Thank you.

Hello; how do I adjust the aim of the screen washers please? Currently far too low, any speed over 50ish means they hit the underside of the wipers in the park position. Mine's a 2014 model. Thanks

Hi Guys, If you have an Idling problem I have found a simple remedy which worked for me without having to use any tools 1. Make sure all car electrics are off 2. Turn the Ignition on and wait for 2 seconds 3. Turn Engine on and keep the RPM Revs at 3000 until the temperature reaches Max & the Cooling Fans come on 4. Once the Cooling Fans come on, lift off the accelerator pedal completely 5. Wait 5 Mins This should fix the fluctuation and Idling Problem, The engine needs to be turned on & off a few times for the Computer to finish learning. If the Idling is still too high turn the engine on & off a few times and wait a couple …

Hi guys. Dont like to ask for help when I've only just joined but I've just purchased a 2008 CRV 2.2 CDTI with 93,000 miles but I've got an issue when parking. When I turn to park in a parking space for example , the steering seems to judder and the front end almost feels like it's under steering. Seems to happen whether I'm turning left or right. Driving and turning at normal speeds is totally fine. I took it back to the garage I bought it from and they did the tracking and said it was sorted , but it hasn't sorted it. Anyone had this issue or any ideas what it could be? Cheers guys n gals.

I'm new to the forum and couldn't find a thread dealing with this. We have just bought a 2012 CRV 2.0 EX (3rd gen). and wondered if the steering wheel controls (media, cruise etc) are supposed to be illuminated at night. I have seen some photos on another forum suggesting they should be, but ours aren't. if they should be, I can start trying to fix. Otherwise I guess we'll learn the buttons eventually! Can anyone confirm yes or no to this?

Hi you Expert Technical Honda Crv Guys, I need some help please, The Gear Change on my mk3 1997cc Manual 4 Wheel Drive CRV is not smooth when selecting through the gears I can only describe it as clunky from 1st gear to 6th gear and also the reverse gear, could this be due to requiring a gear box oil change which might solve the problem or a gear selector alignment which might required, I have never experienced this before in other cars , my local garage, they are not Honda Specialists say it could be because its a 4 wheel drive CRV, that could this be the problem or is this their answer as they are not sure , I would really appreciate some help please Guys as its annoyi…

I have a suspension knock on my CR-V 2009, An intermittent clunk over some road surfaces, ''it’s really loud thud', seemingly from the mid-point in the car, we have changed in search of the offending knock in pairs: · Front coil springs · Front drop links · Rear drop links · Track rod ends · Tie rod ends · Bottom ball joints.

  20. My air con is not working and wondered if anybody out there has a contact who could repair this problem for me? The fans are working but there is no cold air coming through the vents. Local garage attempted to repair but claim the unit is broken and will need to be replaced. I have checked with the local garage following a recent service and they quoted close to £500 to replace the unit, this is money I dont have currently following redundancy in 2020.

I find the stock headlight (halogen) on my 2029 Civic quite dim, and I'm looking at replacing the bulbs with LED type. Does anyone have any experience/ recommendations etc. as to which make or type? - or any to avoid? I imagine nowadays the new bulbs are plug 'n play? Any before/after pictures - and if its worth it?!

  25. Hi, hoping for a light bulb moment from avid CR-V fans. My DPF alarm illuminated on the dash about 3 months ago and went into limp mode. The garage conducted a force regen and sent me on my way. All was good for about 2 months until it happened again. This time my local garage couldn't clear the fault so I took it to a terra clean "specialist" who charged me a small fortune, cleared the fault, force regen again and said that all my stats were good and maybe my previous garage didn't regen it correctly. Fast forward 25 miles and it's back on. Any thoughts please? Because I can't keep taking it in for them to charge me the world and it go wrong in le…
