CR-V 2007 to 2011

  1. Started by CeePeeBee,

Hi guys About to complete the purchase off a 2009 CR-V and I'm wondering if there are any tried and tested paths to replacing the head unit to get an up to date (Android Auto for example) experience? It's a minefield out there of cheap crap and misinformation so thought I'd ask the experts.

Hi, my Honda CRv has just come up with a parking sensor error on the dashboard. Looking online it could possibly be due to the bulb in the parking sensor switch, it shows if broken then creates this fault. I'm struggling to identify the part to replace it. Its a 2013 Petrol executive model. any ideas, and any ideas on stockiest for the bulb.

  3. Hi all, Car is a 2013 MK4 EX UK spec As per the title I get no warning beeps when I lock or unlock the car, also no beeps when I open or close the power tail gate. Some post mention a setting in the audio system but not on mine see pic below. Anyone any ideas, was thinking if someone previously had disconnected the buzzer!

Hi, I bought a used 2019 CR-V Hybrid about 3 months ago. The 12 V battery has gone dead and needs replacing. All the online auotomatic battery selector sites (RAC, Halfords, Euro car parts etc) select 175mm wide stop-start battery for it that doesn't fit (I know I bought one!). the existing battery is 125mm wide. I cannot find a stop-start battery in this width anywhere. So what I am wondering is whether I actually need a stop start battery - is this battery getting used each time the engine starts, or does it sue the hybrid battery to start it? Anyone successfully repalced a battery in one of these? Thanks …

Hi, for the last few weeks every time I break there is a squeeling/crunching noise when I brake. The brakes were done 7 months ago. I noticed today that I've been driving for the last few weeks with the a/c on so I turned it off and now the brakes are making very little noise. Is there any way that the a/c was causing it? Thank you.

  10. Just wondered if anyone knew if the US rear wiper motors are the same as the UK. The reason I'm asking is that a new one from the US on Amazon is £70, about the same price as a secondhand one in the UK.

Hi all I have a 2017 CRV and the tyre pressure monitor has come on and I have been told by my local dealer that it’s because I recently changed a rear tyre due to a non repairable puncture and the replacement tyre doesn’t match the other tyre and that they should only be changed in matching pairs although they are both the same make and the other one was a new pair three months ago, is this correct.

Evening All. Just a qq any one had issues with their High Pressure Fuel Pump on the 2.2 diesel engine, I have had two instances where the engine management light has come on in the last two weeks and had fault code P0087 which means low fuel pressure. Two years ago I was getting the same issue but the garage put new firmware on and it seemed to fix it, but i think that may have just been a coincidence as the issue is back. Sometimes it will stop the car other times it just goes in to limp mode. You can start the car no problem after the event, the fault stays for 4 more engine on and off, then disappears. It's very frustrating. I have been recommended a diesel s…

He said it has a gas leak and £75 to repair plus parts (if gasket needed). As the Honda Jazz Exec is 2018 he said poss Honda would underwrite the repair as not far out from guarantee. A/C is still working. Advice on what to do welcome. Wait for it to fail or get it done? Thanks.

Hi All, Thanks for the forum add I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with a 2015 C-RV. The car is a CRV SE Navi, 4WD, 1.6 diesel and hase covered 65k miles. My question is, having had the dpf light come on and the car go into limp mode, the car has been in the garage and the dpf cleaned and refitted and is now back to full working order, sadly on returning from the garage the engine light came on again and I headed back thinking it would be dpf related. Having been plugged in at the garage the fault was F4 which relates to the Air Flow snesor and is something we had replaced only a year ago, this has confused the garage as the…

  22. Hi, Having had several months with an audio problem with my mk 4 (2015) CR-V I thought others may benefit from my resolution! Problem As topic title, I experienced a buzzing/electrical noise back in spring 2022 after a 30-minute drive in the rain. I’ve checked the micro blade fuses under the bonnet and passenger glove compartment and all are intact. The rear speakers are operating normally, so it’s only the front speakers with the problem. The unwanted noise seems to differ. It’s more obvious (higher pitch) when accelerating compared to coasting (foot off the accelerator). You do hear a difference too when changing gears. The Bluetooth ph…

Evening; I have a 2014 model that doesn't have factory fit rails. Honda will sell me some for £500 plus fitting, or I can buy a set of Cruz bars that fit under the roof line for around £80. Cruz bars are well reviewed, anyone have any experience with a CRV? Thanks

Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer some advice please. I have a 2016 Honda CRV on a 1.6 diesel. I am changing the air filter and I have undone all three clips. However for the life of me, I am unable to remove the housing to access the filter. I can see that here appears to be two slots to the right that the housing fits in, but still having a nightmare. Any tips please.
