CR-V 2007 to 2011

Hi All, Have just brought my first Honda CRV. Got the EX trim as recommended by a friend, and I’m glad I did. However, there’s a couple of issues I’d like some help with. Firstly, I know there’s a common issue with the diffs crystallising and fluid needing replacing, how often do you do this to avoid the problem? Also, the SatNav CD provided does not work (money was taken off for this) and it seems the SatNav CD will not eject from the slot. To be honest I was planning on upgrading to a new android system with DAB anyways, but I’m not sure the best place to look to get a unit. I would love some help with this,…

Was just wondering if anyone out there with the CRV clock problem got a surprise today as my clock has reset itself today

Hi Folks, The touchscreen/radio on my 2007 CR-V is completely unresponsive, as soon as the ignition is switched on this screen is displayed, i can't even turn the unit on or off, no button or combination of buttons work, it is just stuck on the warning screen, I also have an audio beep coming from the speakers every few minutes whilst driving, which is quite annoying. I have tried disconnecting the battery and the usual suggestion of holding the power button but nothing seems to work. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi all, I've have a Honda CRV 2010 and my rear window washer jet is blocked. I've followed the advice of you on this matter by reading up on others that have had the same problems and the suggestions that's been offered. I know the route of the pipes via a picture one of you posted so many thanks however I don't know how to remove the inside plastic panels to get to the pipe or how to take off the inner wheel arches without damaging the clips. Will the Haynes manual auto fix show me how?? I don't want to buy it and find it doesn't help, can any of you good people please let me know 1st ?? Many thanks Ian.

i have owned this car for 6 months now and at 143,170mls on the clock took it for MOT and it sailed through with no write ups at all i said to the guy who does my Mot's anything you suspect let me know he said you have a very good one there, so well pleased its a damned good car highly recommend anyone wanting to buy one.

Hi. I have a 2007 CRV and the radio reception is terrible. Does the car have a radio signal amplifier? Is there anyway of boosting the signal or could my aerial be damaged in anyway? Can anybody suggest how to improve signal or how to get to the wiring in the roof to check?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer some advice please. I have a 2016 Honda CRV on a 1.6 diesel. I am changing the air filter and I have undone all three clips. However for the life of me, I am unable to remove the housing to access the filter. I can see that here appears to be two slots to the right that the housing fits in, but still having a nightmare. Any tips please.

Hi just had a genuine Honda Towbar fitted with all wiring looms , my question is does the towbar automatically turn off the parking sensors when plugged in ?

Why has the reversing camera stopped working on my 2007 CRV Ex? The reversing lights work OK. The camera flashed & stopped working. I guess an electrical fault but any advice is appreciated.

Just bought myself a 2007 crv. Only fault is the stereo, only playing through the tweeters and nothing else. Think we've narrowed it down enough to establish that it's the stereo itself that's buggered. Looking for advise on replacing it with one with sat nav but a little dubious about an eBay aftermarket one, anybody got any recommendations?

Hi Guys I have not long had my 2008 mK111 Honda CRV 1997cc Executive, its had a recent MOT passed with no probs , I am experiencing a wandering on the Steering thats all I can describe it as, Ive had two new Front Tyres fitted and the Wheel Balancing and all four wheels Alignment Tracking Done but still have this percular steering problem where the Steering wheel has to be constantly moved to keep the vehicle in a straight line. I have never had this sort of problem with other vehicles. Can one of you nice Members Please advise or suggest what the problem might be and I would be very grateful for any advice. Abs light came on and another i light had a friend put his diagnostic on it came up with 54-1 Fail-Safe relay failure

I wondered if anyone has any advice about my problem. I have a 2011 CRV I dtec 2.2 diesel with 102000 on the clock. It had a full honda history up to 2 years ago but since then I have serviced the car myself using genuine Honda parts. The car wears the front tyres out in 10000 miles and also squeals badly when I go round a roundabout at any kind of speed. I am worried there maybe a differential problem front or rear. I wondered if the common rear differential issue would cause this?

I find it quite dfficult to check the level in the coolant reservoir of my 2005 CRV. The reservoir is buff coloured and I'm never sure i'm seeing the level the best I have found is hold a short stick on the outside - bottom to the top mark, then hold the stick in the reservoir and see how far up the coolant comes - must be a better way??? please anyone

Hi when I go into reverse my reverse camera screen has no picture. Just lines down screen. My screen is fine for stereo and sat nav. I have a CRV 2007. has this happened to anyone else so I can get an idea to fix please? Many thanks Paul

Had a code come up saying open circuit on passenger side seatbelt buckle. Replaced the seatbelt buckle and the same code comes up even though I tried clearing the code. Anyone had this problem before and know what the problem is. Any help appreciated

Hi I want remap /tuning box for petrol 2.0 crv auto 2007 can this be done any ideas how to proceed ?

He said it has a gas leak and £75 to repair plus parts (if gasket needed). As the Honda Jazz Exec is 2018 he said poss Honda would underwrite the repair as not far out from guarantee. A/C is still working. Advice on what to do welcome. Wait for it to fail or get it done? Thanks.

Hello there. The Auto Idle with a line through it and battery light has started to show on the dashboard in orange. When I turn off the Auto Idle the lights go away but I was wondering if this means I need a new battery? i went for a 20 mile motorway journey with everything off thinking it might boost the battery but no change. My CR-V is 7 years old so would the battery be due a change? Thanks in advance.

Hi Alan I have always used Rock 5w 30w fully synthetic oil in my CRV as its recommended by Honda, If you are unsure as my Honda is a Petrol and I believe your CRV is a Diesel it might be worth giving the Main Honda Dealer a quick call and ask if there is a difference, I really don't know, sorry Alan.
