Hi Folks, bought FRV 2.2 Diesel manual 56 plate just over a year ago now and its been running just fine and is very economical 48/50 MPG. THe blower fan has recently stopped working and I`m wondering if anyone has had experience with this and what the issue is. Thanx in anticipation Colin R

Hi there as above really trying to find the sizes of the oem front and rear speakers before I order some upgrades (as they are awful as standard) just wondered if anyone had swapped them over or removed them and had the dimensions? Didn’t fancy pulling the car apart unless I absolutely had to! thanks in advance!

Hi there, Any advice on the above? 2006 Honda FRV 2.2 crdi with 110000 miles. We have come back from a long journey and VSA and ABS lights suddenly came on. Not doing anything particular at the time. Drove the car a few miles, stopped and restarted it and the light went away. Drove normally, no problems but then this happened again several times. I knew we had a problem anyway with the brakes as pads were low by the time we got back and have had it at the garage for a caliper replacement on the rear offside wheel as well as new pads, which needed changing. The caliper had been sticking a bit and hoped that might fix the VSA issue. However it h…

I've been having charging/battery problems over past few weeks, resulting in a no start after a short drive..... normally solved by a 10 min drive after a quick push or jump start. It's now apparent that the alternator doesnt work, hence requires changing. Looking at the alternator and its location makes me think this is a major job as it's in a very tight area to get to. Any help or pointers would be marvellous

Front window wipers have stopped working on 2010 FRV

Hi my FRV won't start once it's done a run. It starts 1st thing. Then I drive to a destination and park. When I go to leave, it won't start again. Ive had loads of checks to the engine but nothing can be found. I've had all new filters fitted, new oil change. I've also spent out on new battery, starter motor, 4 new injectors even. Still same problem. Its cost me a lot of money, which I've spent cos I like the car. But I still can't find the problem to get it fixed. Any ideas please?

I have a 2006 1.7 FRV. The hand brake lever is fully out and will only return a couple of inches, when released. I have unbolted the assembly from under the dash, but there does not seem any access into the unit. When releasing the handle the cable to the adjuster under the seat does not move. Any ideas would be much appreciated

Hi all, can back to my 06 frv yesterday in a car park and found the drivers side mirror had been fully pushed back. Normally when this happens can usually just push it back and after a few attempts the power folding sorts itself out and gets in sync. However this time the whole mirror is just flimsy and can be folded in by hand and easily. When turning the car on can hear the motor in the mirror whirring away constantly and doesn’t stop and power folding does not engage. is this fixable or should I look for a replacement mirror? Does anyone know how to take the mirror unit apart and what I should be looking for?

Please can anyone help me with my 2007 frv that has noisy front suspension when driving along over slightly uneven ground. From both sides directly under where your feet are. Possibly anti roll bar main mounts. No free play in any ball joints etc. Unable to check for movement when on the ground as very little space. Ideally need a 4 poster ramp so it stays at road going height but garages won't do it for less than a hours labour time. Has anyone had the same issues with noise. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,first post here after owning an FRV for 7 years. All of a sudden when trying to open the door with fob the locks click open and shut again within a second. If quick enough you can open the door if timed right but that's it and the rest of the car stays shut,even locking you in the car until forcing the little lock part towards door to get out. Any ideas what the problem is? It did stop for a day or two then came back again

my Speedo stopped working and wondered if people have ideas? I believe that the sensor PWR-013 may be at fault and wondered it’s position? Also is there a fuse that also associated to the speedo?

I have a crack in my windscreen, I have tried to go through my insurance and their glass care company are saying that the glass is discontinued for the 2005 model and they can’t source it, where do I go from here please?

Hey Folks, Can anyone advise me on how to fix my 06 1.7ltrs petrol FRV radiotor in place. Was poking around the engine bay the other day and noticed the radiator is sitting loose, looks like some on doing repairs in the past never fixed all the screws back in place. Would anyone have pics or info on where/what screws/bolts should be holding the radiator in place?

Hi, does anybody have any experience of this? my blowers have stopped working. I have checked all the fuses and the resister. All is working. Does anybody have any suggestions? thanks

Hi, I've recently noticed that when the needle is sat between 60 and 70 mph, the needle bounces. I think the speed sensor could possibly be faulty. Can someone please tell me where the sensor is located? And is it a straightforward replacement? Thanks Simon

The left hand side of the silver tailgate trim that sits above the registration plate has been coming loose on the left hand side and now I'm worried that the right hand side might be coming loose as well. What is the best way to secure it? I'm not sure if something has snapped or just weakened, my guess is that whatever clips are used to hold it in place are either broken or no longer effective. My mechanic tried to glue it - I'm not sure what type of glue he used - but the glue came off within a week.

Hi, The retaining nut at the top of one of the support piston has come undone and dropped inside the body/window trim! How can I get to the innards to retrieve and refit the nut? Any help would be appreciated!

My windscreen washer has stopped working. The rear window washer still works. Is there a fuse I should check? How do l get at the pump?

Hi all, just bought a 2005 FRV CDTI. Got a few niggly bits I need to sort out... the boot wouldn’t shut closed, i.e. that reassuring click-clunk you get. When I eventually got it to shut and lock, it now won’t open. I’m assuming it could be the latch. I should’ve given it a spray of WD40 when it was open. Is there anyway to open the boot from inside? What could be the problem? cant believe we didn’t notice this when looking at car but the glovebox handle is missing, so we can’t open that. It’s just a whole there. Hello I have a 2006 FRV with the 2.2 diesel engine. 125k miles. Today the car took several attempts to start. Before it fired it was just a fairly quiet whirring sound and no cranking or turning over. Then it fired ok. Is this an obvious problem/fix? I am really not a car person but does this mean starter motor is done for? All advice very gratefully received

Hi Lads, Im probably going to get lots of biased opinions posting here but I wanted to guage if there is an appetite for bringing the FRV back? I love my FRV but is kinda old and falling apart and I would absolutely love to see one in a new or near-new condition (unfortunately there is none in Ireland). Also with the popularity of cross overs "SUV's" I think with a little style change and slightly higher suspension the FRV would make the absolute megga cross over?!? So, any opinions?? Is there any other FRV fans out there and if so, how many? 🤓🤓

Hi Guys, I have a Honda FRV 2.2 CDTI Sport - 56 plate. I was wondering (as I have seen this done on other Honda vehicles) can I purchase a module/relay to open/close the side mirrors via my key fob and if I can also open/close all 4 windows with the key fob as well (Global open/closure)?.
