  1. I would check the plugs to see they are not wet when cranking over the engine Also check the plug gaps are correct
  2. iceboxautos are a good supplier of aftermarket audio designed to fit the CRV model you have
  3. Have heard they do the job well but not sure about quality
  4. They have had issues with air con pump pulleys disintegrating so maybe yours is on the way out and is displaying the symptoms you describe. Look at how the pulley runs with the AC switched on and if there is any deflection when running
  5. Sounds like a crank sensor issue to me, would measure if there is any output as no fuel pressure would be generated if no engine revs
  6. larrygreen1 How did you get on with this issue?
  7. 1986 sounds familiar to me also.
  8. The all-new Honda Civic has been engineered to ensure that its e:HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) powertrain, steering and suspension deliver the engaging levels of performance, dynamic response and feedback that have always been central to the Civic’s appeal. The result is a car that blends a rewarding driving experience with highly competitive efficiency and emissions. Available later in 2022, the 11th generation Civic is the final mainstream Honda model to be electrified, following the CR-V, Honda e, Jazz, Jazz Crosstar, and HR-V. The car will feature the most advanced iteration of the brand’s award-winning e:HEV full-hybrid powertrain. This combines a power-dense lithium-ion battery and two compact, powerful electric motors with a newly-developed 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine, which achieves industry-best equalling 41% thermal efficiency and features a direct injection system optimised for faster and more efficient combustion and greater torque output. In addition to direct injection system, a number of technologies such as low temperature active catalyst, and a modified design on intake port help contribute to improved fuel economy whilst achieving specific output. The result of these technological advancements is a WLTP ‘Combined’ CO2 emission figure of just 108g/km (WLTP), with fuel economy an equally impressive 4.7l/100km. This exceptional efficiency is combined with a maximum power output of 135kW/ 184PS and 315Nm maximum torque, ensuring the all new Civic is a compelling driver’s car within the C-segment. This superior efficiency and energy management has been achieved through the application of innovative new technologies. For example, the latest version of Honda’s Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) is 23mm flatter and 1kg lighter than previous iterations, but with a higher cell count of 72 – the largest fitted to any of the current Honda e:HEV range. The slimline IPU sits under the rear seats, maximising interior space and usability. A new Power Control Unit (PCU), located under the bonnet, enables the faster charge and discharge of electricity, contributing a further 12% increase in power output over previous e:HEV applications. The increase in power density and output of the PCU increases electrical output, allowing EV drive to take more of the load, and is handled by new aluminium-core high-voltage wiring. Aluminium wiring will contribute to 40% of weight reduction compared to conventional copper wiring. The advanced powertrain shifts seamlessly between EV, hybrid and engine drive with no input from the driver. Four drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and a new Individual mode – can be selected by the driver to tailor the vehicle’s response in the area of powertrain, steering and display. This engaging flexibility is underpinned with exceptional levels of refinement, with close attention paid to eliminating unwanted noise and vibration. A secondary balancer shaft, and high rigidity crankshaft within the internal combustion engine ensure smooth running, whilst unwanted engine noise has been countered through the increased application of insulation on the intake manifold and engine cover. In addition to these steps, clever application of Active Noise Control (ANC) further limits any noises that could resonate into the cabin, whilst Active Sound Control (ASC) heightens the sporty tones of the internal combustion unit. Complimenting the exceptional power output is the chassis’ design. The Civic e:HEV has been developed with particular focus on steering response and feedback, heightening the driver’s sense of connection with the car. Improved stability in a straight line and over uneven road surfaces has been achieved thanks to a 35mm longer wheelbase and an 18mm wider rear track compared to the car’s predecessor. Cornering stability and overall input response has been further improved with increased body rigidity and the application of low friction ball joints and revised front dampers; combining to enhance the dynamic feel. To enhance driving pleasure and response a new control logic, ‘winding control’, ensures that the internal combustion engine’s operation is maintained during cornering on twisting roads. This enables the car to deliver instant acceleration, providing a truly dynamic sensation when accelerating. On the highway, the additional torque and electric drive provides powerful overtaking acceleration when at high speed but with reduced engine revving noise, for relaxed long-distance travel. “This is the latest generation of our industry-leading e:HEV technology, which itself is the culmination of over 20 years experience of designing, building and refining hybrid drive systems,” said Tomoyuki Yamagami, Large Project Leader for the all-new Civic e:HEV. “By carefully assessing the broad range of use-cases and operational environments, we have been able to take a ‘whole vehicle’ approach, making it a fun, highly compelling and engaging driver’s hybrid.”
  9. Hi Elizabeth Rider.....welcome to the Club I would strongly advise to take the car to an independent garage who you can trust and find that the cost would be nearer £350 to £400 for all the discs and pads. In reality the brake components would be no different from any other car brakes, except for ceramic brake discs as used on supercars, and any quality aftermarket components can be used. As for wear, the brakes on the Jazz would not wear out any different from any other car. However, being an automatic the wear on the front brakes would be a lot greater than a manual car. Saying that, the rear brakes should not be worn out anywhere near the level of the front brake wear. Let us know how you get on with this issue
  10. Most dash panels unclip with some moderate force but careful with using anything but fingers or plastic trim tools. The panel surrounding the gear lever should pull up from clips and then you should be able to see what is securing the compartment and lid
  11. Hi David.....welcome to the Club Good quality car with a good engine and reliable transmission to complement it Good to have you onboard!
  12. Hi Marco....welcome to the Club Thats a fine looking Accord, great colour. Good to have you onboard!
  13. Hi....welcome to the Club There are some examples of early Honda's being posted in the For Sale section so worth keeping any eye out on that section in the future. Good luck with your search and good to have you onboard
  14. I'm not sure but sounds like there are some settings you may be able to alter to clear this issue. Alternatively, maybe pop by your dealer to ask the question as they may know the issue and either direct you to the settings or they can reprogramme the system. Let us know how you get on with it
  15. Hi Niels......welcome to the Club Great looking CR-V, I've not seen a Black Edition before Good to have you onboard!

  17. Always good to hear owners reviews of their new car and in this case it certainly gives the impression of clever technology not really being that intuitive and user friendly. Good luck with working out all the gadgets 🙂
  18. I wonder if the issue could be with the clutch assembly itself and if the release bearing has drilled through the clutch cover. this can occur if the drivers foot rests on the clutch pedal when driving and causing the bearing to run constantly. It could also explain why the master cylinder broke if too much pressure was being applied to the clutch cover/bearing
  19. I would have backflushed the heater matrix as this usually sorts the issue
  20. How is the fault now the weather has warmed up a bit?
  21. This company are very competitive on prices and availability is good https://catman.co.uk/
  22. eBay is always a good place to put a car on for sale. set a higher price than you want and you can always reduce it if it doesn't get any bids
  23. I think the major issue will be with acquiring parts to keep them on the road in the future. Maybe worth putting them on eBay to see what bids take the price up to?
  24. I think it would be worth putting it on eBay and see how much it gets to You can always retract the sale if there are no bids - just set a starting price of in excess of £1500 to ensure you at least match the garage offer
  25. I wonder if it is worth inflating the tyres slightly (2 - 3 psi) over on each tyre to see if this puts the warning light out. If not, you can always deflate the tyres to where they were before
