  2. Honda in the States have recalled 750.000 Honda vehicles including CRV's for having Air Bag Faults. A number of Honda Vehicle models are involved lets hope its just the American Imported Hondas involved, no mention of UK Cars being recalled, worth checking out BAZZER RN 1
  3. First Choice is check the fuse and if ok get it to garage to check it out with a code reader its wise not to leave it .Maybe Trevor might have another suggestion for you.

  8. It is quite difficult I agree Alan but how you suggest is probably the best option, I fortunately can see the level on my 2008 CRV which is a blessing. Bazzer RN 1
  9. Just heard it on the Grape Vine that they are sneakily going to increase Car Tax in April , another Cash Cow for this Tory Government soon it will be too expensive to own your own car or is that the game they are playing. ???? BAZZER RN1

  12. Not really sure about the FRV Hand Brake adjustment Dave, with my CRV the adjustment is made by locating the Hand Brake Adjuster assembly which is in the console box between the front seats , remove the bottom of the console box and the adjuster is there, it is done by screwing or unscrewing the threaded nut adjuster until the correct tension is obtained on the Hand Brake operation. This might help other CRV Owners but again not sure about this on a FRV, Sorry Dave. Have you checked it out on You Tube. That might a good place to find out, If you do find the answer Dave please put it on the Forum to possibly help other FRV Owners. Cheers Dave Hope you and your Family have a Happy and Safe Christmas
  13. Hi All I have an update on the Radiator Fan Query which may help others, I contacted the Main Honda Service Manager who advised that as the MK3 CRV has no Radiator Fan Switch , it was likely to be the Bottom Radiator Coolant Sensor situated on the left side bottom of the Rad , not expensive to replace from a wholesaler around £ 11.00 but from Main Honda £ 57.00, so not rocket science where to buy this from and the comparative OEM Number is correct. It is a bit of a job fitting it as the bottom engine covers have to be removed to get at the Coolant Sensor, it needs a 17mm long socket to remove it, the coolant system has to be drained down and after refitting the new Sensor has to be refilled with Honda Coolant , it is doable but I have bought the parts and will get my local Garage to do the labour as it needs to be done using a ramp. So that's the update at the moment, keeping fingers crossed it will solve the problem. Hope this helps others who may have the same issue. Cheers All BAZZER RN1
  14. I need some technical advice Guys, When I switch on the Ignition on the CRV from cold star, The Radiator Fan Starts and goes off after about 5 mins, It then clicks and comes on again and goes off etc, Has anyone else had this problem, I think it is draining the battery when this is happening, Coolant level is fine ,all topped up, I have changed the coolant Sensor and now at a loss, I could go on changing Sensors, i.e, the Radiator Module and the Radiator Switch and Relays but this is just an expensive procedure. Has anyone had this problem or can help in solving it .Its getting frustrating not knowing what might be the cause. Any help would be appreciated Cheers Guys

  17. Excellent Video Alan very well made.
  18. Your very welcome PJB , I hope you get it sorted, let us know how you get on, I dont think you should be charged for a mechanic to investigate any problems, I have never been charged for that in the UK, Once they find out what the problems are they can then provide a quote to supply the parts and repair the faults for you. Hope it all works out my Friend
  19. Hi PJB Firstly welcome to the Honda Club, there are some good experienced Members on here who are usually able to help and assist you. Ref your initial enquiry, I would advise getting an itemised list of all repairs for the work to be done by a qualified mechanic or Dealership and then you have a base to work on for getting the most competitive quotation for the work and always ensure you get in writing a guarantee for all work that's has been carried out on your car , It sounds straight forward advice, but surprising how many never pay attention to this. Welcome again to the Club PJB and hope you manage to everything sorted Cheers and best wishes from the UK BAZZER RN 1
  20. Interesting reading as usual Trevor
  21. Hi All Just a little Tip for the non informed like myself, If you have to replace your Brake Light Switch at any time and your Car has Cruise Control, make sure that the Replacement Switch has Four Contacts , otherwise if you get the Two Contact version then the Cruise Control will not operate correctly, Just a Tip Bazzer RN 1
