  1. Hi Aly, Bazzer Again, There are also lots of info on you tube on how to unlock and retrieve your Honda Radio Code free, Might be worth a try rather than pay £ 45.00 to get it.

  3. So apparently the Government are apparently introducing a General Overall Speed Limit in built up areas of 20 mph. Some one asked on the Honest John Forum if the Cruise Control limit on vehicles will adjust down to 20 mph and the answer was apparently it can only be adjusted to a minimum of 21 mph and that should be okay, but if the Control Limiter is not correct ,try telling that to the Judge for exceeding the 20mph speed limit, I agree this limit should reduce accidents in particular outside Schools etc but there seems to be a question that needs to be answered on this Cruise control issue, Not that I personally would intend to use Cruise Control for this low speed. Any opinions ???
  4. So promised update on the Royal Black Sport tyres fitted to my CRV, They are certainly giving a much more comfortable ride even with all the Pot Holes we all are suffering from Mr Sunak, and after having a new rear wheel bearing fitted this week even better positive steering ,with no slight wandering which was caused I believe by having two different makes and tyres treads fitted by the previous owner when bought the car. So in my opinion, Yes they seem to be a very good tyre for the money regarding Steering, Road Handling and comfort, the three most important things that I personally needed. That's all for now Folks.
  5. Hi All, Had an expensive week , on Monday booked in for MOT It passed no problem £ 50.00, on Wednesday noticed the ABS & VAS Lights on the dash were on all the time took it to the Garage they did a check and found out the Rear Wheel Sensor needed replacing ,this was done for £ 94.00, then the ABS Lights came on again and a shuddering when braking, this was found to be caused by a worn Rear Wheel Bearing, so back to the Garage again had this replaced and fixed £ 160.00 , so a weeks bill of £ 304.00 + vat . a lot of dosh but at least it done, the steering is 100% better and no Christmas lights on the Dash, apparently all of these faults according to the Dealer are ones prone to Honda. So hopefully its trouble free for a while. Will have to drink a bit less of my favourite tipple at home this week or a few more to drown my sorrows of having to part with this cash 🥲

  9. Just heard on the news they are doing away with handbrakes on new cars and just relying on the electronic brake system, That should be good fun on Hill Starts. !!!!!
  10. Seen that Car Insurance Companies are blaming the increased high cost of Car Insurance this year on Electric Cars , I am not a fan of Electric Cars but this comment by Insurance Companies seems to me to be a fob off by them to unjustifiably penalise all Motorists to increase the insurance costs What do other Members think ???
  11. For more information on why Electric Cars are supposed to be the cause of High Car Insurance have a read on Google at Honest Johns Report today

  13. Welcome to the Honda Club, nice looking motor, and looks in good condition Safe Motoring
  14. I had the same problem when I bought my CRV different make tyres with different tread patterns which according to my car mechanic Son was the cause twitching on the Steering and not a comfortable ride, I have already noticed the difference after having the new tyres fitted, steering is a lot better, more quieter comfortable ride , I chose the Royal Black Sport tyres which suited my driving purpose of the Honda. I will give an update in a few weeks time.
  15. Hi Guys Following on from my Topic regarding new tyres for my 2008 Mk3 Honda CRV Exec 4 + 4. I have finally decided to bite the bullet and have four new Royal Black Sport 225/60R18 Tyres fitted this week. Its a minefield trying to choose which tyres are suitable for your Vehicle, how you want to use them and Tyre Value as everyone appears to have a different preference on the choice of tyre they want. I chose the Royal Black Sport as its suits the purpose and requirements that I personally need for my motoring journeys. They are a good priced tyre at £ 81.98 each including vat, fitting and balancing and I was convinced after seeing the Google reviews on Tyre Seeker which if anyone is interested is well worth reading about this make of Tyre. I will update the Forum Members after I have had them on my CRV for about a month to check out the Tyres.

  23. I believe they are trying to impose it in the UK as well, its nonsense apart from outside schools or other areas where as previously commented Children Play or there are persons who might be injured, at 20 mph Cars are hardly out of Second Gear or still in Second Gear so how long are they going to last. ????
  24. Another Person a 54 Year old Man whilst out walking his own dog has been attacked by one of these American Bully XL Dogs , and has sadly Died, Need I say more,
