  2. I have been tinkering about today with the CRV and thought I would remove the Thurle Roof Rack as shown on my Profile, I don't use it all of the time and I have noticed that it does cause some wind noise when driving, My Daughter mentioned this when driving on the Bournemouth Spur Road at the Weekend, also of cause I probably think it doesnt help the fuel economy , So off it has come and packed away neatly in the Shed until I require it in future, I have put all the nuts and bolts in plastic bags so I can find them when I need to refit the Roof Rack. so another job done !!!
  3. Hi All I am considering fitting Four new Tyres on my 4 wheel Drive 2008 Mk 3 CRV and having done a fair bit of research on the type of Tyre I might need as I don't do an excessive mileage I have found Royal Black Sport Tyres being sold by the RAC for my type of vehicle which on the face of it conforms to all I need including the Road Holding and Safety aspect and has got some good reviews on all the Websites, Sure I could go for the more expensive make of tyre but this may be false economy based on the reviews for the Royal Black Sports Tyres, Not being a Car Tyre Professional If any one has had any experience with these Tyres I would appreciate a practical opinion. Many Thanks BAZZER RN 1

  5. Hi Guys & Gals Just bought a Front and Rear View Dash Cam for the CRV and thought I would have a go at fitting it this week, It is not an easy job as some might suggest with havin to tuck the wiring neatly away out of sight in the bodywork panels and making sure all is as covert as possible, I have plugged the power lead into the Cigarette Lighter socket for the time being until I can sort out which fuse I will and can connect it to on a permanent basis, It works fine but one thing to watch out for when feeding the power cable through is that you don't get it caught on any sharp objects, as I did with the result I cut through the cable and it cost me some extra time a little bit of patience having to solder the leads and shrink wrap the cable to make a positive Power Lead connection again. ( My Fault Entirely ) So now it works okay, once installed, you will need to go on to Settings to set the Clock and other preferences you require using the instructions provided with the kit. I have not fitted the Rear View Camera yet ,That's a job for another day and I have a Reversing Camera already fitted to the Sat Nav ,so thats a job in waiting to be done. 6. Hi Alan Some good advice as usual from Trevor, I also have a Mercedes e320 CD Avantgarde and concur with all the comments Trevor has made and exactly the case when on the Motorway change down the Gears and give it a blast through it seems to do the trick and keeps the Injectors clean which is the main problem sometimes with an erratic diesel engine not running smoothly, and a dose of Fortes Injector Cleaner helps as well BAZZER RN 1
  7. Hi Gemas I have found the place where I bought my updated Sat Nav CD for my Honda its Satnavishop.co.uk Google this put in Honda Sat Nav Disc and it will open the website where you can put in your vehicle details and what you require The Discs are £ 24.99 , or you can give them a call on the number on their website.. The one I bought for my Honda CRV worked as soon as I installed it. Hope this Helps BAZZER RN 1
  8. Hi Trevor suggested a company to update my Navi Disc and its working fine, check out Trevors Message on this for the company or perhaps He might respond to you with the name of the company if you ask him nicely 😉 Best Wishes BAZZER RN 1
  9. I would imagine you can buy Honda Rear Cargo Mats on Ebay or perhaps ask in the section on this forum and you might find someone who a set of mats to sell, its always worth a chance. BAZZER RN 1
  10. That must have been scary and could have caused you to have had a nasty accident, Glad the RAC Guy found it in time, Did you or He report this to the Garage concerned and perhaps they will pay more attention next time. Good Luck with your CRV in future BAZZER RN 1
  11. I have had several Honda's and this issue is really dreadful, I can only speak from my own experience as I have never had a problem that my local Honda Dealer, Horizon Motors at Poole Dorset were not willing to help and assist with . This must be very frustrating for you and is I would think very unusual for Honda. I can only wish you good luck and hope you get this problem resolved once and for all. BAZZER RN 1
  12. Hi Welcome to the Honda Club you will find some good advice on here particularly from our Administrators who will normally always respond to your messages for advice and queries Best Wishes BAZZER RN 1

  15. Worth getting a can of Halfords Silicone Spray and giving that a go Alan, It did the job for me BAZZER RN 1
  16. Give the Slave cylinder mech rod under the Clutch Pedal dose of WD40 or as suggested by Trevor on the Forum Alan and see if this improves it BAZZER RN 1
  17. Hi Guys an update on my search for the CRV Roof Rack Caps, I have found some on Ebay ,a set of four which are the correct size 2 @ 20cm length and 2 @ 13cm length which is the size required for the front and rear for £ 24.99 not originals but Honda want £ 94.00 for a set so its not rocket science to opt for the alternatives. Sure they come from China but as long as they fit correctly it has to be the better option, I will update Members when I receive and fit them. How Honda can charge this amount for 4 pieces of plastic is simply beyond belief BAZZER RN 1
  18. Hi All If anyone is looking for a really good Body Repair Specialist in the Dorset Area, I can thoroughly recommend Simon whose number is 07873-479616 , He has repaired a few dents and scrapes on my Night Hawk Black CRV and is a true professional , I have always been more than pleased with the finish of the work he has done on my car . Nice Guy , good prices and I'm sure he will give you excellent results as he has done so for me., Sometimes its a good idea to pass a recommendation on to others who may be looking for work to be done on their vehicle. Best Regards BAZZER RN 1
  19. Hi All I have a Thule Roof Rack fitted to my 2008 mK3 Honda CRV Exec which I want to remove but do not have the plastic Roof Rack Caps which need to be replaced on the car roof when the rack is removed, Has any Member got a set of 4 of these caps front and rear for sale as the Honda Main Dealer is in my opinion much too expensive for 4 x plastic caps Would appreciate if any Member can help please. Many Thanks BAZZER RN 1

    Why?

Hi Alan My CRV is a 4 wheel Drive and I find if I move the Lever up or down on the steering column, my indicators come on.😃 Just Kidding you my Friend I tend to accept that particularly some BMW Drivers don't seem to know where this lever is . BAZZER RN 1

Sign of the times Alan , Good job we Honda Drivers don't do this 😇😇😄 Watch out for the School Run Tomorrow☹️ BAZZER RN 1

  23. Hi Trevor I'm also not so supple as I used to be , please see my Topic on A little Tip which can also possibly work on the Slave Cylinder Squeal Problem BAZZER RN 1
  24. A little Tip for dried out rubber gromets or window seals, a good size can of Halfords Silicone Spray for £ 4.99 does the trick and worth giving rubber seals a good spray in this hot weather when the rubber does tend to dry out and could deteriorate more quickly and also a good lubricant for other car parts except of course Brake parts or Steering assembly which should be common sense not to use any lubricant on. other than that, follow the instructions on the can and get rid of those nasty squeaks as well on the car. Best Wishes BAZZER RN 1
