Dave S Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I have a 2006 FR-V 1.7 Petrol V-Tec (D17A2 engine) . I had to replace the crankshaft all back together but the green immobiliser light comes on. The engine cranks, but will not fire - no spark. The fuel pump primes - but the plugs are dry so no fuel getting to the cylinders. I replaced the battery in the key fob I checked the Immobiliser fuse under the dash and that is OK. Is there anything I have missed? Is there a wiring diagram for the immobiliser circuit anywhere? Thanks in advance for any help
Trevor Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 It could be the immobiliser control unit as some Honda models seem to suffer this issue. You can get a replacement unit and key to match secondhand and fit yourself
Dave S Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Thank you, it was working fine. I replaced the crankshaft, due to a scored bearing journal and now the ommobiliser light comes on. Is the Immobiliser control unit common to many Hondas do you know where it is located? I cannot find any information on an FR-V. It would be nice to find whether the chip in the ECU need either a high or a low then it could be bypassed and a simple switch hidden to control that feature. Thanks again
