I would definitely return the car to the garage that replaced the timing belt and ask them to check the fault code (free of charge) to see if it is associated with any of the work that has been carried out.
It may be a connection for a sensor that hasn't been clipped back on or something simple that can be fixed at no cost.
After that then at least you know the fault code and can go from there
