Alan gsd Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Afternoon, is it easy to replace the gear shift gator on a 2005 CRV, fingers crossed I don't need to remove all the dash etc!! Alan
Alan gsd Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Author Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Well it does seem you have to remove a far bit of trim to access the gator so I've used a small spot of glue to mend the very small hole and it looks OK. I do love my Honda but unlike my Ford Transit where you could get to things with ease. Honda's are so well made it's a task to do anything I'm happy to say!! 1
Trevor Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Well I suppose its done well over all these years but they can get a bit thin over time with all the shifting back and forwards. I replaced one on a 3rd generation CR-V and it was very easy to pull the trim off and attach the new gaiter but kept pulling out as the material was too thick and rigid
Alan gsd Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago It's has done well for 20 years so a hole about the size of a pin head is good going, so think my spot of glue will do the job for now.
