Hello, I have a 2011 CRV 4WD with 140,000 miles. Last year, I noticed a delay when shifting into second gear, and it became jerky. I took it to a mechanic who replaced the transmission fluid, but the issue actually got worse. He then replaced the solenoid, which seemed to help for a few months. After another visit to the mechanic, the diagnostic test indicated an issue, so I ordered new solenoids and had them all replaced. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. Currently, it struggles to shift into second gear. When it does manage to engage, accelerating causes the engine to rev up, and it slips back out of gear.

Hi got a petrol crv 2013 ex auto Creaking noise coming from rear brakes whilst braking 5mph to 0 mph speed sounds like handbrake cable is stretching. Been in and out of the garage but they can't find anything was just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems.

I measured the battery voltage with a multimeter. It was around 2.3V when it should have been 3.3! I guess one of the cells inside the battery must have suddenly failed to cause such a sudden voltage drop. I replaced the battery with another of the same batch and so far, so good.

Thanks a lot to BEL HR-V for writing above, I followed his guide, I also managed to make my 2000, Honda Civic EJ9 ULEZ compliant, with D14Z2 which has a NOx of 0,045 which is less than 0.08 g/km with HC: 0.129 g/km, follow the process above which is written by BEL HR-V 1. Apply for COC in https://www.honda.co.uk/cars/owners/certificate-conformity.html( can take up to 2 weeks they send only by post so be patient) 2. Sign up in TFL website and Apply to become ULEZ 3. Upload the COC + V5 photos(all pages, can take up to 2 weeks, they send by email) 4. Ensure to mention your car is registered as compliant based on its emissions and not its euro standard rating 5. Any issues email cclondon@cclondon.com, check your spam folder for reply or call them on 0343 222 2222

If it's an automatic, change the ATF. Make sure you get the right amount in - it makes quite a difference. Find some Honda ATF-DW1 for the job.

sensor torqued down to correct spec. Has anyone experienced problems with cheap aftermarket sensors? Honda say they have all sorts of problems with aftermarket sensors and recommend only Honda parts are used ( but they would say that) I am about to buy the honda knock sensor for £150 to see if it fixes it Has anyone else had sensor problems that get fixed when genuine parts fitted?

Hello, I joined in August as we already have one 2013 Civic, but have recently bought a 2017 Civic diesel as I had written off my husbands Mondeo 😜😵 So we now have two Civics. However, I had a fiddle with the bits on the wheel, and changed to monitoring miles travelled on A. And it appears as though I may have turned off the stop/start function possibly by doing this, as a message flashed up something about it not being available, but I did not really see it well enough to read it properly (too quick). Sure enough, the stop/start no longer appears to be working, and I cannot find any information about getting it working again in the manual. Can anyone give me any information on this please??

Thanks for the reply @Geoff H - let me know if you do change the tyres and notice a difference, I'll probably wait until the current tyres are worn. Re audio, it's not a great system fitted and seems a little anachronistic - we mostly use car play or android auto though so don't notice it too much.

Hi all. I recently had a towbar fitted to my CRV and I'm not too impressed with the way it looks after - the cut out in the bumper is quite rough and not straight, it just looks like someone has taken a hacksaw to it (which presumably they did). I asked my local main dealer whether or not there was a trim kit you can fit onto the cut out but apparently there isn't. Anyone able to suggest anything?

Advice or wiring diagram for 2015 CRV no side lights (small lights) fed by fuse 34 Can anyone help with a wiring diagram please I'm getting no voltage to my sidelights, i've continuity checked and voltage checked all the fuses i can find even the ones hidden under glove box. I can see the light selector stem is switching 12v to fuse 34 when sidelights are selected but would like to know what happens from there to the actual bulbs (all in tact) Thanks in advance Ade(UK)

Not much for CR-Vs that I am aware of I fitted side window wind deflectors which gave it a better appearance and also you can get side-steps and bullbars for it Try https://direct4x4.co.uk/ for some parts

You could try changing the blades to non-silicon ones as these can often create the noise you mentioned.

Hello Did toy manage to find a solution? I'm currently having the same issue

I have this same problem, so had a stage 1 remap, however this led to a fault code for the torque calculator (although no DPF code) I could cancel this code okay and as long as I drove without hard acceleration car was fine, however as soon as you put your foot down engine light came on and car goes into limp mode. Had the remap returned to original settings and DPF light is back on! Any suggestions??

Hi Everyone, I just got my first Honda. Ever a fan of Fords in the past, they've been failing me to the point where I needed a change. So I went for an older model C-RV MKIII that has less electrics to potentially go wrong. I hope it was a wise choice! I've got two children and two dogs and we tend to travel a lot, over the weekends and holidays, so I needed something that would be reliable and also wouldn't cost a fortune to fix. I have to say, it's a very nice car, one thing letting it down is that it won't win any awards for speed... (Gone for the petrol one)
