Hi everyone my names Richie. I'm from Co. Wicklow in Ireland and said i'd join to get some information on Honda's and thoughts along my build and read along other peoples builds and any teething issues along the way. I drive a 2007 Accord Type S for a daily driver and an EP3 Type R for a weekend / blow off steam car. I've only got the Type S about a week so since getting this i just added wind deflectors as otherwise its all good and fits my comfort levels for a daily driver. I don't want to take the comfort or fuel economy out of it. The EP3 i have about a year and I've done some work & upgrades already to this one with plenty m…

Purchased new in April 2003, just clocked 166,000 miles! I am one of a dwindling number of Stream owners I guess, used to see a few running around but very rare now. The most reliable car I have ever owned, although I guess my previous vehicles were not at all comparable! Started off learning to drive in a Ford Escort Mk3. Briefly took lessons in a Mini (original style) but soon back to the Escort. First car I owned was an Austin Allegro 1500HL. I know these have a bad reputation but the transverse OHC engine was a doddle to maintain and apart from squeaky hydro-gas suspension and a thirst for oil, it ran rather well actually. A big boot on it but a letterbox o…

Hi everyone ..Multiple Honda owner here 2 cars and Four Bikes but sadly one of my old favourites has reached retirement time for me. Its a 1998 Accord Saloon 2.0 VTEC 130k on the clock But sadly showing her age and i cant justify keeping it any more. Sent it to my local garage and it failed MOT and its too much for me to consider doing. (Happy to supply failure sheet if anyone is interested) Engine and gearbox are really good car runs great if anyone needs a Donor car. I'm not going to break it for parts or sell it bit by bit so if anyone is interested Its the whole car thats available.V5 is in my name and i have owned the car over 10 years.

I have a 2017 HONDA HR-V BLACK EDITION I-DTEC 120 (1.6cc) & have ongoing issues with the idle stop and wondering if this is a common problem? Over the past 2 years it’s been in the Garage at least 6 times for the same issue or issues relating to the idle stop and is booked back into garage agin tomorrow. The idle stop works for so long (anything from a few days to max 6 months) and then randomly stops working with a dash warning showing low battery charge. It was last in the garage 2 weeks ago when they again charged the battery overnight, fault again seemed to be rectified but 10 days & 300 miles later the same issue. On some occasions the fault appears to rec…

Greetings all, new Legend owner from Warwickshire. Well, the car isn't new, but it's new to me. 2000 model. Anyway I've been poking about and I found a ride height sensor on the OSR shock absorber (see pic). There is a position sensor pot behind the bracket which you can't see in this pic, plus an electrical connector. Does anyone know what this is for? I can't find it in the [Acura RL] workshop manual I have.

Hi All, After some help if possible. We have had our 2010 CR-V 2.2 exec for 6 months now and really love it, no problems until yesterday when the rear camera, reverse lights and reverse tilt mirror all stopped working at the same time. Everything else on the car works as it should. I'm guessing/hoping its a fuse or relay as I would think they are all connected somehow but any advise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Chris.

Hi everyone. Although I have owned probably around a dozen Civics from a 3 door mk5 through to a 5 door mk8, I've never joined this club. However, I've just bought myself an EP2 and finally decided to join. She needs some work but I'm still chuffed to own her. Cheers, Colin

Hello There, I bought a Honda pre-runner to the Civic in 1985 as a run about. She didn't last long. Next was an Accord Aerodeck which was a USA import and was a cracker. She lasted for 4 yours and was part exchanged for a Camper Van. Then in 2008 I bought a CRV VTEC Sport. I had her converted to LPG and kept her until October 2021. The Air Con had ceased to function and the quote was £700 plus she needed a lot of work (£1500) to get through the MOT so sadly she had to go. Now the sad bit, I have lung cancer and it is terminal and I was given 3 months to live in 2019 so I decided to give up driving. I hated it, I had to rely on my wife to go anywhere and w…

Right I'm a newbie and only just got my Honda. First time I have ever owned an Honda. Loving it so far but I cannot for the life of me figure out something. Is it possible to have the speed that I am doing displayed at all times without resorting to looking at my speed diameter all the time. I am slowly getting used to the touch screen etc. I swear you need a mensa degree to figure it out !! I've looked in the book, googled, you tubed nearly everthing I can think of . If anyone can tell me how to do it in laymans terms I would be really grateful. The honda I've got is a Honda CR-V 2.0 i-VTEC SR 5dr [DASP] Petrol Estate 2017. Thanks for reading

Hi folks, billpmadscot, soon to be residing in Scotland after 22+ years in Southwest Ireland. Used to ride Honda motorbikes but 68 and arthritic I prefer my comfort with a Japanese imported Honda hybrid Fit Shuttle. Easy rider, plenty of torque when I need it. Automatic, lots of bells and whistles but no manual to explain them. Looking forward to returning home. A Glasgow boy but chose a house on the outskirts of Kilmarnock, around 20 miles to Glasgow by motorway. Drop in and say hi, I'm happy to talk on any subject car related or otherwise.
